  • Express shipping (3-5 days): $20;
    Priority Express (2-3 days): $38

Both include insurance apparently, and according to whirlpool forums, they ship through DHL/then "3rd Party"

  • What does that mean "3rd party"? So they go through 2 courier=delayed shipping? I don't see why they can't go direct though

    • Perhaps it's referring to DHL which has a limited delivery network in Aus, so it will be handed off to the local courier company in your area which in my case is Toll or Aus Post depending on the package size.
Still very fast, but UPS is where it's at :)

      • DHL is great, have received several packages in 3 days, in 1 occasion 2 days. Very impressive for overseas parcels.

    It's $679 + $20 insurance (which must pay) + shipping cost

  • +1 for stay clear of eglobaldigitalcameras

  • Theyve also got the note II for $476 and note II 4g for $485. Any idea if this company is legit?

Stay clear of eglobal? They are fairly reliable but like with any other online store, they will encouter some customers that are dissatisfied including big stores like Kogan

    • Have you ever bought from them? Or are you just a fanboy?

I bought an unmarked (so it showed) Nexus, it came with "NT Docomo" markings and did not have the bands advertised

Its a website that has "close enough" mentality

Fanboy? Why would I be a fanboy of some random HK online store? I am simply giving out my opinion of them based on my research and previous purchase. So did you get a refund then? By the way, if they didn't explicitly state that the phone is unbranded, they have no obligations to send you an unbranded phone. As with anything, you get what you pay for these issues arise all over the shot mate. You can't expect top quality service with a minimum price tag all the time.

it is not quite cheap cause i am from HK and i looked up this website it shows the cheapest s4 i9500 16g is only HKD$5030 WHICH IS AUD$628.75
    WHICH MEANS SHIPPING IS AUD$50
BUT SHIPPING SHOULD BE ONLY $20 BY AIRMAIL FROM HK CAUSE I SHIP A LOT.

    They appear to be legit.

i bougth my canon DSLR from them couple years back, have no problem or what so ever from them, the product is great, working up to now.

  • Please note that the I9500 (Exynos) model does have an 'octa-core' touted feature, which is really just two quad-core chipsets that alternate for power efficiency purposes (imagine an economy chipset and a power-house chipset).

The Exynos model does not include 4G/LTE, and since it does not house a Qualcomm Snapdragon, it will have very limited support with AOSP (Cyanogen/Paranoid/AKOP) roms.

It may also have the dual-sim feature (not sure as it was designated for China mainland, not HK).

  • But the i9500 (scored 27417) is faster than i9505 (scored 25900) in the AnTuTu benchmark result.

    • im going to end up getting the i9500, 4g in Australia sucks and is expensive with measly monthly quotas

      • that's right, no use having 4G with only 1GB bandwidth on most plan. Use 4G only if those telco offers unlimited download, otherwise you might have sell your house to pay for your bill.

  • Not the price change, total 653AU
