    • yep, it's on Factory Scoop clearance

      • a scoop at almost twice the price of other stores ???

    (RP $149)

Same one sells for $59 here, so you'd be getting ripped off badly if you paid $149…

    • How much is the shipping cost from USA for this heavy stuff? Is there an any store Walmart in AUS? you'd good to give some evidence from AUS stores.

      • -2

give some evidence from AUS stores.

you're the one claiming it's worth $149, when in fact it's only worth around $60…

It's scary that something like this is now almost cheaper than a year's worth of NRMA roadside assist! :/

    • $79.49 delivered here…

So why is the jb deal a bargain ????

      • +4

it's unknown brand mate. If you trust crasysales go for it. it's very easy to type comments but difficult find deals and post to others. Good luck ..

        • -2

If you trust crasysales go for it.

Same consumer law applies as for jbhifi… Also, same warranty.

It's exactly the same product… Why pay 20% more to buy it from JB and call it a bargain ??

        • +2

It's same kind of product but not same brand. I'm arguing with a person who compared price of same product in AUS & USA. :)

      • +2

That's a completely different product mate.

This is starting to sound like "JV and WNK Go To White Castle"

    • Damn you, now I want some sliders…

… with a cook meat sandwich? no thanks.

  • Kmart has similar for $60 but with a 17ah battery. Not a bargain.

If you buy one of these, or a similar device, I recommend you get a solar charger of the sort sold by car accessory shops. It is essentially a solar cell, a lead, and a cigarette lighter plug. They won't (usually) charge a car battery, they are intended to keep a fully-charged battery "topped up".

For a battery of the size used in jump starters, the solar charger might actually push out enough energy to charge it from flat, but I wouldn't depend on it.

Keep the solar charger on a sunny windowsill, plugged into your jump starter, and it will always be ready to go. Otherwise, you'll have to remember to re-charge your jump starter every two months or so. If you forget, the battery will go flat, sulphate, and then it'll only be good as a doorstop.

    • Otherwise, you'll have to remember to re-charge your jump starter every two months or so.

or just leave it always plugged in, in your car boot…

      • That'd be heavy man. Can't get the same lap records on the way to work with that kind of weight disadvantage :P. Naa but i do seriously try not to keep random heavy stuff in my car.

    • I reckon that's a good idea. Cheers for that. Also if you were keeping a spare car battery out of a car, the solar charger would make it easy to maintain the battery without having it plugged into mains costing money. Not a lot of solar things are useful, but this sounds like a decent usage of them.
