  • Literally the second hit in Google. Not even Google Shopping, just Google Search:

        My bad. Neg removed.

  • Actually the Cube U9GT5 (U9GTV) has better screen and higher capacity battery (albeit less storage of 32GB vs 16GB) and can be found cheaper if you look around. For eg.

Cheapest Price is at Aliexpress for $230 but not sure if people want to take a risk there…

Not sure what risk you're talking about. It's actually safe to shop on Aliexress. Alibaba has a unique payment system whereby the payment goes to Alibaba first rather than the seller. Alibaba releases the payment only if the buyer is satisfied with the purchase.

As long as the 40 Thieves don't get their hands on your money first :P

    • I notice that Banggood offers to beat a lower price quoted by another supplier for the same item if it can.

  • How about the after-service? I understand how the payment system works but apparently there are problems with the after service, especially since chinese tablets are known to have high failure rates

Yep this is an issue. I bought an Ainol and a Cube for my kids for Xmas.

The Ainol busted after 1 month, the Cube after 2. The Ainol we got a full refund on, the Cube has been in the repair shop in Hong Kong for 3 months with no sign of it coming.

Cost $50 each to return the tablets via post to Hong Kong and had to lie and say they didn't have batteries (if you tell the truth Aussie POst will not accept them).

Disaster - now kids have Ipads…..

      • Which Ainol and Cube tablets were the ones you had problems with?

        • Cube is U19GT.

          Ainol Hero (from memory).

First and last Chinese/Android devices I'll be buying.

    • Clearly they don't have international warranty. So if the tablet is broken, you'll have to send it to China for repair. If this is the risk you're referring to, then yes, it's a pain and also could be costly. However, if you do decide to import, you need to factor this in. Overall, the Cube U30 tablet appears to be well built and popular. There is a thread on Whirlpool.
