Compact, but that makes battery life limited.

Other kits are available with the same XM-L emitter, but a 4-cell li-ion battery, for under $50 delivered.

USB rechargeable as well? power and flash settings? Quick release so someone doesn't nick it while you are in the shop?

Moon is a over priced brand I know.

      • Yes, its not the same. I just thought it worth mentioning that there are much cheaper alternatives that have other advantages too for some people. I have one from DX and it has been great.

USB-recharge is really only useful for small batteries.

      • Moon is a over priced brand I know.

        Compared to what?
There wasn't a single light in that link that truly compared.

Outside of that link, what else is similar or better for the price?

  • Awesome, might get this for my bike I found in the council clean up.

  • Moon shield rear is a good buy. Cheapest I've seen to date for them.

This model won the latest round-up of lights from Bicycle Victoria, Choice etc.'s panel of testers. Can't really compare to all those cheap lights.

BTW, the code didn't work for me today, wonder if it was only for existing account holders who had been sent the email, anyone else had any luck?

      can't or won't compare?
You'll notice they did not declare anything, but each model had a single web address for a supplier.
So we might deduce that they only review lights that are supplied to them for free.

This is better than most cycling magazines, which only review equipment sold by their advertisers.

The better Chinese lights use the same Cree XM-L emitters as the better brand name lights.

      • can't or won't compare?

Both, they can’t compare a light that you can’t easily access, and by easily access, I mean walk into a physical retail out let and purchase.

So we might deduce that they only review lights that are supplied to them for free.

        Correct.

This is better than most cycling magazines, which only review equipment sold by their advertisers.

        Completely false.

    • code was only valid for 4 days I think
