      @cash8

One of my friend bought this machine from Myer last year and I can confirm the machine comes with a built-in frothed and a box (24 capsules) of capsules included.
      Have a good night

No external (seperate) milk frother included, but a box of 24 capsules usually is in the package.

To me it's a better coffee than the nespressos.(more full bodied, hotter)

I did have to send my first machine back (leaked internally), but happy now.

This is a EOL model. New ones are Electrolux not Saeco (Philips)

  • Are these machines good compared to the entry-level nespressos?

When i was checking out the elcheapo being offered at Harvey Norman the saleswoman warned me that the cheaper ones were so tedious you were likely to chuck them away. She said the machine had to keep cooling down and heating up and to produce a cuppa you needed atleast 15 minutes. I thanked her so much for telling me that and although she tried to get me to buy a more expensive machine i just left.

Getting to the point, can this machine pump out cups of coffee with ease or will I get frustrated with waiting it to warm up and cool down alot?

Heats up quickly, third cup in a row you might have to wait a minute or so for the ready light to come back on, but I would not call it slow at all.

      • @vmile and twneseguy,

Thanks for your quick and short reviews but very useful. Cheers

    • thanks!

Great machine and great tasting coffee. The taste definitely beats nespresso anytime handsdown. Only gripe is the tiny water tank. Have to keep topping it up after every 2 coffees. The steamer is also a boiler type steamer which steams the milk perfectly for latte. Owned it for more than 18 months now and couldn't be happier with it.

I agree the coffee tastes better than nespresso. We have a nespresso machine at home and a lavaza one at work, lavaza wins imo.

  • Oh I should also mention. If you want really good tasting Cappuccino or Latte, forget the automatic milk frother. That stuff doesn't do any justice for the quality espresso you get out of this machine. Learn how to steam the milk well using the steamer. If you get the milk temperature right and you get the milk spinning during steaming, you probably won't even use sugar to have a sweet tasting cup of coffee (the milk sweetens itself if steamed to the right temp and method). The boiler steamer is much more superior to thermoblock type steamers imo

  • Are the Lavaza capsules for these compatible with any other type. coz I think they can be hard to get and only available from Myer. Am I wrong? Tell me If im wrong. I was going to get one on another deal but was worried about avails of capsules.

    • As far as I am aware they are a unique capsule.
In my town we do not have a Myer, but thay are available at Hardley Normal and The Good Guys.
Capsules easy to get on-line as well.
