I've had both and found the Charge 5 heaps better. The Megaboom 3 was really underwhelming and not nearly as clean sounding (or loud)

I can't speak for the Charge 4, but I returned my Megaboom 3 for a Charge 5 and found it so much better.

I think the Charge 5 is a way better speaker than the UE Megaboom 3, so I'd easily go the 4 over the UE Boom 3.
