  • Please explain the bargain.

What is your usual price for these - what is the savings?

What do others sell these for…?

Thanks! Just too busy to do my own research at the moment.

    • Come on A3, it takes a quick search on Whirlpool/staticice to answer your question, the same time it took to type your post. I know you specifically are capable of this.

Its a good deal, but I'm honestly not sure how the company is on returns of faulty items etc.

      • From my experience WD is pretty good with returns anyway so you can just send it straight to them.

        • What was your process for returning?

If I can avoid the shop completely and not pay for postage to WD then that would be awesome.

      • Yeah not sure what there return policy are like but it is a pretty good deal.

      • Hi,

For any faulty units you can either send it back to us or you can deal directly with WD as well. If the item is returned to us. You need to pay for the postage from you to us and we pay for the postage from us to you.

PS: We have not received any single faulty red HDD (WD10EFRX, WD20EFRX, WD30EFRX) since we start selling the unit last year. And we are WD Platinum partner so we do sell a lot of WD HDD (Especially red NAS HDD).

    • Sorry for the late reply.

Based on our search on staticice and shopbot. It is a bargain because it is free postage and no limit on how many HDD that you want to puchase. 1 or 2 shops (which is cheaper from us) has a limit 1 per customer and charge for shipping.

      Hope that answer your question

  • Well, I am back - and so no one including the OP Rep has answered.

This now looks like a 'regular' price.

Maybe there is free shipping on this drive from Magaware?

    • what on earth are you talking about.

Description says free shipping, most shops don't have this.

Both the 2TB and 3TB are much cheaper then competitors.

      • Description says free shipping

Actually, it said "Free shipping on selected WD HDD".

Both the 2TB and 3TB are much cheaper then competitors.

Not from my quick check on Staticice.

    • Hi,

I can confirm it is free shipping. Also please note that 3 of our competitor (from your post) which is cheaper. Has either a limit of 1 unit per customer or there is a postage charge

      • I can confirm it is free shipping. Also please note that 3 of our competitor (from your post) which is cheaper. Has either a limit of 1 unit per customer or there is a postage charge.

        I only need one.

Thanks for clarifying that these drives qualify for free delivery - might be a good idea to say that in the title or description.

  • +1

ITspot.com.au has the WD20EFRX for 107 + 7.95 delivery (Just got an email about it) Only drama is 2x equated to 15.95 shipping so that's annoying (but still relatively cheap)

    • Hi,

Based on their website, it is limit 1 per customer. Normally people purchase minimum of 2 units of the Red drive. That is why on our deal, there are no limit of the HDD.

  • Normally people purchase minimum of 2 units of the Red drive.

Why is that, do you think?

I was thinking of using the 2TB or 3TB in a NoonTec Media Player I have (that has no drive inside at the moment).

    • The red drive is normally use for nas devices. In most cases when people have nas box. They tend to have a minimum of 2 bays nas box. Therefore 2 red hdd. Hope that clarify your question
