For the extra $97 (pickup) I would go for the JB special on the 55LM7600 @ $1496

    Both are brilliant TV's !!

    • You mean 7600. LG aren't being kind to numerical dyslexics with their model numbers.

Wonder if you could play on that when haggling at JB/GG? ;)

      • You are so fast… :-) I edited 10 secs after posting!!

Def pay the extra $100 and get the 200hz model. Much better when watching action movies and sports

  • From my understanding the 55LM6700 is also 200hz model(?), but I wonder what other features/ spec this model is missing?

    • From the specs:

      TruMotion 100Hz

Not that it matters much, it's not a real refresh rate, just a different MC algorithm really!

    • sorry you are correct it is 100hz for 55", I was checking the 60" model which I am comparing to the 55" LM7600 :P Does anyone know what other feature/ spec the 60"LM7600 vs the 55" LM7600?? Many Thanks

    • Some also have better / faster processors too but specs don't disclose that level of info.

My old eyes do notice a difference between 50 and 100hz but miss the benefit of 200hz. :-(

Only differences I could find are in the refresh rate, the 6700 doesn't do 3D-2D conversions, and the 7600 has "yes" against dual play, but the 6700 just has "compatible".

EDIT: The 7600 also comes with a pair of Dual Play glasses, hence the "yes" and hence just "compatible" for the 6700.

any one know what the new models after all this clearances are supposed to bring? Last year the new models were mostly design nothing more. This year ultra hd is reserved for above 60 inch TV. so i have no clue what they will try to market to get us to pay more.

  • you should be able to get the 7600 model (200Hz one linked for jb deal) for this price if you try (and can find stock)…

Grabbed one for my parents yesterday for under $1400…

    • How much did you get it for? I tried bargaining with my local JB, but they said they couldn't go below the advertised price of $1496

      • $1360 was how much I paid…
no idea why that was 'neg' worthy..

  • Easly make your own set of dual play by buying 2 pairs of movies glasse and swap and flip the lenses.
