  • Price in title please ;)Good price..

  • It's a part duplicate, as it was the top comment in the other deal that was 50cents cheaper.

It's a good little device. Obviously it doesn't have the same range as a full wireless router, but it does a pretty good job

I've used one of these briefly, not mine, I was setting it up for someone. The signal and speed was quite good, I was pleasantly surprised to be honest.

  • great deal on the good network

but cant be used as a USB modem, tethered. Do let me know when the pocketpro or other hits this price

offer in store, cant find on website

  • Can also be unlocked and use something like the ALDI or Kogan sims for cheaper data rates

  • $0.50 cheaper here!

and Dicksmith deal was also mention in the deal: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/98618

buy from the good guys, return in 1 hour for 120 percent refund on the difference. Works out to be $31 if purchased for the $79 they were selling for yesterday
edit voted down for $8 off? nice

  • Great for those like moi who have had a gutfull from the Optus resellers. Like dropouts for 3-5hrs in the evenings from both Woolies and Amaysim. I used the Freebie Boost to check my Telstra connection and woompa!! No drop outs. I only activated my Testra Elite Wifi minutes ago. Dicks had a one day deal back in March. For the price of a $180 Telstra recharge voucher, the Elite Hotspot was thrown in-bargain.

  • Also $39 @ Kmart (Some are 24hrs if you want it NOW)

  • Will this device work with a telstra postpaid sim ?

    • shouldn't be any reason to say no?

  • International roaming?

    Edit:
Seems the modem can be used for roaming but not the included data. (Bummer).

"You can use your Telstra Mobile Broadband service while overseas.
International roaming is available by calling Telstra on 12 5888. It is important to note that different charges apply when using your Telstra Mobile Broadband service overseas and that any monthly allowance included with your Telstra Mobile Broadband plan excludes use while overseas. For a full list of available countries and charges, go to telstrabusiness.com.au"

I'd guess you'd need to take out a mortgage on the house to pay for international roaming on this.

  • I understand this device can be unlocked. What plans are people suggesting for use with this? Aldi and Kogan were mentioned above I see.

    • Aldi sim works in the telstra 3g wifi modem just checked and am using it now.

  • You can activate those $30 Telstra Sims that are usually on sale for $10/$15 and get 3GB/1month if you want cheaper data ;)

And DSE is cheaper than Kmart is you have staff discount ;)
