    • But you could create a UK account and everything would be fine wouldn't it?

    • +6

I've bought loads of UK games that had DLC work fine on Aussie store.

      • +5

Agreed, 100% of my games came from the UK, no problems so far. Much of the time if you go into a local store they are selling imported stock anyway (identifiable by the BBFO logo).

        • +1

Not all games DLC works on imports, the issue appears to be restricted to the PS3 but some games are incompatible with DLC from different regions such as Black Ops 2

    • +5

My copy of the first Assassins Creed (X360) was actually UK stock, with an Australian Rating stuck over the UK rating on the case.

I got this from Harvey Norman in Adelaide. I am not suggesting that Harvey Norman imported it, I suspect that it was stocked dumped by the publisher into Australian retails stores.

I can't speak to this game (there was no DLC) but I have never had an issue with any games I have purchased from the UK and DLC. To the best of my understanding there are three zones for the 360, US, Japan and Europe/rest of the world.

So I don't think this is an issue.

      • +1

I bought Assassin's Creed Revelations for PS3 from Harvey Norman, and yes it was UK stock. Everything worked/registered fine, and Australia uses the European SEN anyway!

    • +4

UK and Australia is the same region which is under PAL. Xbox 360 codes and PSN codes all works fine.

    • The DLC issue seems to be more of a PS3 problem, I haven't heard of it on Xbox

    • No, most of my games are from the UK and I haven't had an issue with DLC at all for the 360.

This box set is a crock - instead of putting all the stuff on disc, they give you DLC codes!

    I expect better.

    • +2

It's only $70… even with DLC codes… this is a bargain. The AC3 seasons pass is 2400 MSP alone. Not to mention that the box set comes with 5 games, 5 lithographs, a steel case and heaps of DLC.

      • While it is a bargain who is to know what kind of Internet situation others have, some just prefer physical media still, which I think has been missed by some people

        • +3

True, but it is unreasonable to have the expectation of having the DLC printed on each disc. If they did that, the box set would undoubtedly be more expensive. DLC also cannot be resold and so helps developers mitigate the second hand market, which is anthoer reason why they would opt for codes.

        • +2

according to this youtube video , it contains disc media for all games

        • I think only AC2 has the DLC on the disc, because there already existed a GOTY edition.

  • -1

Any reason to buy this if you already own all the AC games?

    • Seriously?

    • For collection purposes, for the DLC or for the steel case & lithographs

  • +1

Just the DLC I guess, I own them all as well and tbh I haven't even played 3 or hardly any of revelations.

    • I am a big AC fan, have played them all and own all them with collector editions

Was wondering if I needed this too

      • I'll give you $70 for the lot :-)

  • +4

AC3 Season pass is for 25% off all future DLC (5 packs reportedly), so it doesn't include any DLC like the other games.

  • Very good value, especially when you compare it to amazon.com where the ps3 version of this same bundle is $250 (what the hell?)

  • -4

The only thing I dislike about UK/EU games imported into the Australian market versus Asia-Pacific/NA releases is the slightly differing and/or inferior product packaging, documentation and box art.

    • +3

Such as what? As far as I was aware we are PAL and so have always received the same gear as the other PAL territories.

      • It's the same as here maybe a different cover but same quality

        • really? I'm almost to order it now…

        • Yes, definitely

    • What are you talking about, man? Do you mean that the packaging of imported PAL games tends to be poorer than non-imported PAL games sold in Australia? Usually the only difference in the artwork is our OFLC rating on the front and back. And often that is just a sticker over the top of the British VSC/PEGI rating.

  • Worth it for the DLC's, thanks got 1 !

  • Why does XBox360 version has all 5 discs and PS3 version has only 3 discs ??

I have both XBox 360 and PS3, which version should I buy ??

    • +4

Blu ray discs (PS3) are higher capacity than DVD (Xbox360). Blurays allow something like 25 or 50GB (depending on the disc used) of data whereas DVD is 9GB.

  • Bought one. Thanks, OP!

  • Does anyone know if the lithographs come with any other AC game or are they only with this pack?

This article reads "The Anthology will include five exclusive lithographs" … so I gather only with this pack. Can anyone confirm?

      • Thanks

  • PS3 version was the same price as the 360 version on the 31st of March.

I might just wait till it hits that price again.

  • A question for someone with experience with buying games from Amazon UK. What method do they use to ship the game? UPS or standard air?

    • +1

      standard

      • Thanks, 'cause I have a PO BOX address so UPS is out for sure.

  • +2

$199 currently at Jb Hifi what a joke and it's probably a grey import.

  • Bought one for Xbox, worked out to $87.35AUD with standard shipping….not '$70 delivered to Australia' as posted here, but still a massive improvement on the next cheapest in-stock price of $169 from EB.

    • +2

It was $70 delivered at the time of posting, this deal is expired. They added 10 pounds more onto the price about two days ago.
