  • Shipping to WA about $6 for the sharpeners $20 for the grill. Does not appear to give discounts based on multiple purchases.

Thanks OP. Bought 4 sharpeners. Thinking about ordering a couple more.

Limit of five on each item.

  • OMG - now that is a BARGAIN!!!

Yep grabbed 5 sharpeners for me too, also to WA. $30 for 5, $6 birthday presents, easy. Plus I need a new FURI for myself :)

  • Are they any good? Which one is better-ozitech or stick?

    • +1

the stick one has a single bad rating on amazon, the other one (the container one) has tons of positive ratings.

      • Thank you OP. Ordered 2.

    • Almost nobody can maintain constant angles to grind freehand with the Stick. I plan to put it into my Spyderco Sharpmaker (a guided system with fixed angles) to supplement SS's lack of grinding power.

The Ozitech is fool-proof, but it cannot grind serrated edges (e.g. bread knives).

  • you probably should mention its Con Of The Day in the title…. will stop people wasting a click to find it out themselves

      done

  • Cheers :)

  • Not sure how good the grill is…
    hm…

  • Thanks! Just bought Furi Oztitech, looks like a decent sharpener!

    Coupon no longer available

  • "Coupon used too many times" As reported by the website for the FURI sharpener.

Pity - would have kept my filleting knives sharper…

    • $16 i.e without the coupon is still half what you pay in the shops.

      • The RRP is actually around the $50 mark.

I paid around $14 or $15 for it in a King of Knives sale, and hubby was so impressed with it he sent me back to get a spare for a gift. $16 is not an unreasonable price for it.

Having a couple isn't a crazy idea either. Use the fresh one to take some meat off the knife edge and use the old one for a finer hone - perfect :)

  • Bought one, used it to sharpen my Zwillings knife …. it made a loud screech noises but damn the knife was pretty sharp afterwards …. well rejuvenated.
