bugger, if it was the white 10m cable…

    • I got my white network/HDMI cables from eBay.

With respect, OP, what's the point in a one or two cables per customer limit? I can understand that you want to spread the love, but if I'm buying cables I'll buy twenty or fifty or more at once, and I'm too much of a tidy-freak to have a bunch of mismatched cables around the place. One or two aren't really useful.

    • +4

Maybe this deal isn't for you then… For home use, I don't think many people need to buy fifty…

    • +1

Who the hell buys 50? 2, 3, 5 maybe but 50? For a regular consumer? I think your in the minority there buddy

Just sharing the love mate. If your chasing 50+, contact us, we'll do our best to put a deal together for you. Thanks

  • My dad says we need 30m. Can you do a special on this http://www.warcom.com.au/shop/flypage/network-cables/etherne… . Free shipping maybe? :)

  • Hi guys, can someone point me in the right direction please as to what's what.
Cat5 and Cat6, what's the difference and which one plugs into the back of my pc and modem
    Cheers,
    Sorry for the noob question.

      what modem do you have

most likely if you dont know just go with cat5e

    • AFAIK they will both work, cat6 is just better future proofing

They're the same (connection wise) cat6 is the faster of the 2.
      cat5 - 100Mbps
      cat5e - 1000Mbps (Gigabit ethernet)
      cat6 - 10000Mbps (10 Gigabit Ethernet)

Check your modem and the network card on your pc to see if it's "Gigabit Ethernet" if so go with cat5e/6 (whatever is cheaper). If not… replace your hardware lol

If it's purely just for internet use, then cat5 will do the job without bottlenecks.

      • Thank you, for all I knew one could have been a 5pin and the other a 6
        Thanks for the info

      • "If it's purely just for internet use, then cat5 will do the job without bottlenecks."

not if you have docsis 3.0 and transferring files at the same time*

        *theoretically speaking

  • I need a cable to connect from my NETGEAR modem/router to my SONY smart TV, so which one do I get ? CAT5 or CAT6 ?

  • +1

Here is the answer to CAT-5 or CAT-6 in the context of this deal.

The 2m cable is rated CAT-5e, which means there is no practical difference for consumer use. Choose you cable base on how long you need and stop worrying about which CAT is which.

    • The OP said choose wisely, for all I knew one could have been a 5 pin connector and the other a 6pin connector.

      • +1

He said choose wisely because you can only choose between one of 10m, one of 5m or two of 2m cables in this deal.

If your equipment are, say, 2.5m apart, then buying two 2m cables are no good for you. While it is possible to join two Ethernet cables to span a farther distance, it is not ideal. So measure the distance you need to route, add 10cm for slack, choose the appropriate length, and forget about which CAT the cable is.

Or perhaps you need to colour co-ordinate your Ethernet cables, so choose wisely? :-)

  • OP, Any deal on a 2m cat6 cable?

    • Not at this stage, sorry.

  • How do I remove the shipping fees? I added the items and the shipping was there.

    • It's one per customer, adding multiple items will add a shipping charge

  • Ordered

  • Anyone else order a white cable? Got mine, but seems to have weird yellow marks along the length of the cable
