Buy Dual Saw Deluxe for $248, and Get The Renovator Multi Tool FREE ($158 value) - BigW

40

First deal posted. Please be gentle ;)

Saw this at work. Buy the dual Saw Deluxe for $248 and receive The Renovator Multi tool for FREE! (Valued at $158)

I haven't heard much about these tools but apparently, as stated on the dual Saw packaging, they've never met anything they couldn't cut.

Challenge accepted (cracks fingers) . Ow my fingers feel so brittle…

Has anyone used or own one of these dual saws?
They look impressive in the ads but i wonder if they would clog up between the blades?

  • +2

Yes I have one and wow does it work very well, only cut metal so far and I was thinking that its gonna chew up the teeth on the blades but it cuts really nice and the blades are still sharp, nothing will get in between the blades.

I must say its friggen noisy hehe

Dunno if it a good buy (even though I bought one without the renovator, bugger) as I dont know what the renovator is like a few people have wrote that its junk (that I have seen).

      • The renovator sold like hotcakes during the festive season but I guess it's just a matter of experience

        • +2

Number sold does not equate to good, only effective advertising.

        • +1

          True that

        • After reading other users experiences with The Renovator I bought a Makita instead and it has been a beast and fits any type of accessory.

        • They do a universal adaptor for $1

    • I also have one of these but use it primarily for wood. Chews through wood so fast!

But the bad thing is, it has a depth of only 2cm or so, so anything thick, better stick to the jigsaw.

The renovator is meh.. I have a Bosch, so there's no contest there..
It did come with a set of blades though, which are compatible with Bosch. I don't know about any other brands.

The price isnt particularly special. I bought it almost a year ago now for the same price.

  • Never mind - OP edited the deal description.

  • i got the multifunction tool at aldi ($40) which is similar to the renovator and its great, was looking at this one too for the safety feature they proclaim 'no kickback'. saw it a supercheap i think it was the same one and they said it was good

unfortunatly due to most infomercials selling alot of unreliable junk its hard to trust that any of the products are reliable

    • +1

why it's good to be able to get hands on feedback from users on here.. :-)

    • +2

Yeah I'm not a fan of informercial products either. Bought my first ever item called a GripGo. It's a phone holder but without those side to wrap around the phone. It's got some sort of suction which acts like a million tiny suction cups. I even saw the man on tv use it on a bowling ball and swing the holder with the phone attached out the car window.

Skeptical of me, I bought one and oh my, my phone fell off the second time I stuck it on. More like GripNo

      • +1

lol and how much were they selling that for? … now $1 on ebay :)

i love the infomercial fails, the one where the guy falls off the ladder while doing it live … poor guy

but i think these 2 tools are one of the only decent products that I would consider. i just have a circular saw and its heavy and im scared of kickback, i think this one would be better

      • +1

Suction only works after you first immerse the phone in water!

        • +1

going by this experience suction only works if you're a sucker

  • I'm planning on getting the Bosch kit that has a battery 18V drill and 18V multi-tool i think. Still hoping to find a good price.

    • My Bosch blue (professional) multitool is 10.8 volts.

  • No deal for me. When you can buy the better specd OZITO version dual saw at Bunnings for $98 and a better specd multi tool for $99. So under $200 for better products with better warranty.
I have both the Renovator unit and the Ozito unit.
    OZITO unit wins handsdown!

  • If it was the other way around I'd be interested, both for $158.

  • As above -Ozito have a similar saw (probably from the same factory):

I can't remember the price but was cheaper than the Renovator when I saw it at Bunnings ($99 according to previous comments).
Obviously doesn't come with the bonus but if you just want the saw would be a cheaper way to go.
