Seems like a good deal, these are $79 at officeworks and $99 at JB Hifi and Dick Smith.
If they are cheaper somewhere else, let me know.
EDIT: Looks like shipping is free.

I bought these last year for like $49, they are really good 5.1 for a small room
what?!
why do prices go up then?
Would these be ok for a small lounge room
what would one recommend these, or something like the z623 2.1.
which would have better sound.
possible to hook these up to my TV? its a LG PA6500 (60") which has: 3x HDMI, USB, 2x component and 1x composite inputs.
nope, these are good speakers but connectivity is poor. They're an old model and designed for computers, great for a HTPC but not much else.
You have just listed the inputs on your tv, you need to tell us the outputs! If you have headphone Jack or RCA out (red and white audio jacks) then you should be ok.
thanks guys. think ive only got optical out? heres the specs sheet:

you need higher end logi stuff, z906, z5500 or z680
any of those 3 above will accept an optical cable from your tv.
here's the back of the z906 accepting optical and coaxial,

I was most fortunate to pick up a used z680 which still has a ton of sub power till today :p
thanks annoynimous :)

personally recommend z623, it will give you entirely different experience over this, although it's $60 more expensive, but worth every penny.
+1
The sub is leagues ahead of the Z506's, way more bass, more wattage/THX and it has AUX inputs on the back of it.
I miss the old Logitech X-540's. These just don't sound the same to me (even though they're the successor model) and are way cheaper in construction and aesthetics.
Same goes for the Z906's; they're a shadow of the former glory of the Z-5500's. Logitech just keep watering their best stuff down.
