Every Cook Book Donation Receives a FREE Coffee for Yourself & Melbourne's Homeless. [VIC]

100

To celebrate the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival and Melbournians love of food we are giving away 1 STREAT coffee voucher to each person who donates a pre-loved cook book to our Little Library.

Take your cook book donations and collect your coffee card at the Melbourne Central Customer Service Desk Level 1.

When: 1-17 March 2013

I received a Gabriel Gate cookbook, published in 1992, and probably sitting on a certain family's bookshelf, as a Christmas present a couple of years ago. Well, now I can continue the cycle of regifting.

EDIT:

Streatis a social enterprise providing homeless youth with a supported pathway to long-term careers in the hospitality industry. We run street cafes in Melbourne where youth get their hospitality training. Our food is inspired by street hawker food from around the world.

I believe Melb Central will donate the value of a Streat coffee back to Streat for each person who participates in this promotion.

  • What is someone without a home going to do with a cook book?

    • They don't get a used cookbook.

It's a simple charity. Just buy a coffee from them (they do good coffee) and money from that goes into the charity. My guess is that Melbourne central will donate the value of 1 coffee back to Streat for those who participate in this promotion.
