I was looking for a Chef's knife and although its a stamped not a forged knife this seemed to be a good cheap entry level knife.
Has a German steel blade however the knife itself is made in China. The lady I spoke to in the store said they were good knifes however generally are not super sharp when you get them new so best to sharpen straight away but should hold a good edge. I gave it a sharpen with the Klevasharp below and seems great for the price.

I also grabbed one of these to sharpen it since I'm not great with a steel
RRP $29.95. Normally $24.95 at King of Knifes. Now $18.70 (25% off regular price)

I have also found some 5kg kitchen scales at the 80% however my local store has none in stock
Fresh Prep Digital Kitchen Scale 5kg Was $59.95 now $11.95

I'm pretty sure Kmart sell similar ones for around the $10-$15 mark but I'm thinking the Fresh Prep may be a better quality

The sale is available online however postage will obviously reduce your savings.

Enjoy
