    I'm confused… because its the 'Spyro' portal, the Giant's pack is incompatiable isn't it?

      I've seen an add-on Giants starter pack that includes the game and figures but not the portal itself - which means the Spyro portal can be used in Giants.
      But I have no idea what this deal is actually including.

      The Spyro portal and characters are compatible in Giants.
      However, some of the Giants' Characters are not compatible in Spyro

      This combo, you will get
      2 games (Spyro and Giants)
      1 portal which will work on both games
      Few characters that will work (all) on Giants and some on Spyro.

        So according to the compatiability chart, the GIANT figurine that comes with this deal will not work on the portal that comes with this deal.

        The Giant figurine will work with the portal in the Giants game.

        Giants figurine will not work on Spyro game.
        It will still work on this portal, when you use this portal with Giants game.

      You can use the portal from "Spyro's Adventure" in the "Giants" game with no issues.

  the price has now gone down to $69.99

  This is the original game with portal and 3 figures, plus giants game and tree rex figure and no portal. If u are feeling future thrifty, these portals will apparently not work on the new game.

    I'm using my old Spyro portal on my Giants game, with a mix of new and old characters. Works for me.

  I just scored this from the Electronics Boutique in Toormina (Mid North Coast NSW) I walked in and was buying a game, saw the advertisement on the behind the desk counter thing, nearly scared the guy serving me to death when I screamed, DO YOU HAVE ANY IN STOCK!? He said yep, they had only sold one so far, Bought it for the PS3.
  So you know it is the Spyro Starter and the Portal Owners Giants, NOT the Starter of Giants :) which means you DO NOT get two small figures that come in the Giants starter, which is series 2 Cynder and…another one I am not sure of sorry.
