  Is this the book or some other product?

  The inclusion of "Awards 2012" makes me unsure of what the product actually is that is being made available.

    The correct title for this should be: The Craft of The Hobbit, An Unexpected Journey iBook

  Going buy the first picture in the link one gets the impression that Peter Jackson is smaller than a hobbit.

    It appears to be the film maker's pitch to receive some Oscars. Several of the pages are headed "FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION" and a suggested award like "BEST DIRECTOR".

  The movie is one the few good movies in 2012,so hope the book is even better(as always the case). Excellent movie indeed. I wasn't expecting much when started watching but left very impressed and now looking forward to the following 2 which will be released at the end of this year and 2014 respectively. Remind me of my waiting for the release of trio The Lord of the Rings movies more than 10 years ago. And the The Song of Longely Mountain by Howard Shore is epic as well.

    Considering it's a 200 page children's novel stretched to 3 feature length films, it's one of the few lit adaptations that is actually shorter to read. No reason not to have read this classic.
