"ozbargainers are so interconnected it would act like a virus".
its great if you have one of the older 3d TVs but i think its only for the A and B series…so i think anyone 2010 or newer cant use
ssg 2100ab is for 2010 C series iirc
Great compatibility link here….

But, bizzarly mentions the 2100AB are rechargeable. The version I have are not rechargable.
the link says "2011 models"
I would not trust a sign made by a Hardly Normal employee. Samsung US site states they are for 2010 models…..

However the photo does give you a simple way to try the glasses at home and return if they are not compatible.
For those who have the Panasonic 50" Plasma TH-P50ST50A [ http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/82520 ] the best price I could find for compatible (Marked with this symbol: FULL HD 3D RF) glasses was $29 from JBHI for the samsung SSG-4100GB. Replacement sets of 4 or 6 batteries can be had for $4? from Cheap as Chips.

Will it work for viera UT46A?
No idea. Google the model of TV + whirlpool and see if anyone has other brands working with the TV. It is what I did for my TV model.
Also this may help:

I can confirm that the Samsung SSG-2100AB/XS 3D glasses work with the 3D Kogan TV (active shutter version, not the current passive version). These are a great buy for any one that bought the Kogan 55" 3D Olympic special. http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/70247
The SSG-2100AB are better quality and a lot cheaper than the $49 Kogan 3D glasses Kogan are currently selling. However, the Samsung glasses use a CR2025 battery and are not rechargeable via USB, but I actually prefer this.
Would these work with panasonic GT30A plasmas?
These are for the Samsung 2010 series tv's. These were the only generation to use Infrared for the glasses to tv sync. They moved to bluetooth for the next gen as it was more reliable. Shame my local doesnt have them at that price. Actually might go and have a look.
Geordi would love these…
