Ummmm yeah why not? Many a cheap skate before me has done this by interleaving it in your laces or buying a dedicated pouch that clips onto your laces. No way am I paying the Apple AND Nike TAX. :p

The iphone has a built in accelerometer. You dont need this.
Same as the new gen nano.
The iPod touch has the same accelerometer but was designed to work with the Nike+ (and without the dongle).
Why can't the iPhone work with the Nike bit? There must be an advantage to having a accelerometer in your shoe and not your pocket. More accurate?

called the Underwood store today and they said they were sold out but they had a look at the stock of other stores and Logan central had 7 available. I have an ipod touch 2g and the Nike+ works great. I read a few forums about not using Nike+ shoes with it and they said it was fine, so i thought it was worth a shot since it is only $19 and i can confirm that it is fine to use without Nike+ shoes. You can get cheap shoe wallets which strap on to your shoe laces if you can't find a secure place in your shoes to stick it.
Why doesn't this work with the iPhone, Apple? Think of the possibilities with the GPS chip!
Good buy tho, might get one for my Nano, then put them in my Adidas shoes :p
RRP is $48 btw, hope they honour this deal.
