I have ordered from bay beans in the past. Just want to say once again that is not just the coffee beans that are great, James is among the few people in Australia(most Australian retail lacks any customer service) that understands the importance of customer service and actually does a good job at it.

    • Thank you!

    • There's a huge statement backed up with…..?

  • My usual comment - any decaf for this special?

    • +11

Hi Jazzy - no decaf on this deal…

oh, hang on… I suppose I could break open a bag for Quality Control purposes ;-) .. You can have THAT bag if you like. (sorry to anyone else that might be looking for decaf). Jazzy, email me first (before you checkout).

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

  • Brisbane please. Plus I'm still waiting for my "something from your desk" email you sent out in combination with that hairy photo of you last year.

    • +1

hmmm.. could be any number of hairy photos ;-)
[Daabido] Order today and I will send you something from my desk… prepare to be underwhelmed! (email me before checkout)

  • Yup, would love this in Brisbane. Would mean I could have fresher coffee more often rather than 2kg and freezing it. Certainly you wouldn't want your customers having less than the best experience with your product. ;)

  • I will buy if it is extended to Brisbane.

    • send me a postcard from Brisvegas and its a deal.

      • Ha ha….ok mate. Will do.

  • Great Deal! Can anyone recommend a good, cheap grinder? (If such a thing exists)

    • Define cheap.

    • +2

Your looking for an inexpensive grinder.. cheap is well, cheap.

      Its basically like this;

$20-80 cheap, usually flat blade grinders that smash the beans rather than grind them into consistent sizes - not much good for espresso coffee, okay for plunger.
$80-200 Value/inexpensive. Sunbean EM0480/EM0460 is a nice conical burr grinder (check ebay if you want to pay less for secndhand)
$200-600 Enthusiast grinders. Mazzer Mini, Rocky etc. very precise for the price.
$1000-2K cafe grinders - higher duty cycle for more grinding, less heat, faster grinding.
2k-4k Deli grinders. $1000+ for replacement discs. 15-60kg/hr
4k+ roaster grinders. 3 phase. hurts ya pocket. $1000+ for replacement discs. 60kg/hr+

Take a look at a quality hand grinder too.

      Discuss.

      • Which cheap grinder would you recommend for stove top? Is the EM0480 suitable? Thank you.

      • +4

also the breville smart grinder bcg800

        • A very nice grinder indeed.

        • +2

          +1 for the bcg800

I was quite pleased with the quality for a 200ish grinder…Don't think you can get the same value elsewhere

      • Appreciate all the assistance - now time to start my research. Cheers!

      • There was a deal on ozbargain a while back for the sunbeam grindmaster em0360 for $30 (conical burr grinder)
Was an excellent bargain and is working really well.

        • Thanks for that, will do!
