Kirks: Slip N' Slide Promotion - Free Slip N' Slide with $4.99 Postage - No Purchase Necessary

1160

Hiya all,
As of a few days ago, Kirks have changed their Slip N' Slide promotion so that you no longer need the codes (too hard to buy the promo bottles/cartons they reckon), so all you need to do is fill in the form and pay 4.99 postage.

There were 10,000 Slip N' Slides available at the start of January so who knows how many they have left.

Model is the "Wave Rider" - RRP 24.99 according to Kirks. 4.8 metres long and suitable for "5" to "12" year olds (sure)

  • Thanks OP. Nice Find!

+1 to Kirks for doing this like they did with the boardies. They are awesome in my book

  • Thank you OP!!!

Cheers OP. I posted this when it first came out and have my slide already, though i have not used it yet.

Just remember people the promotion details clearly states they will mail them to you in 28 days.

The last Kirks deal had people on here complaining after 12 days that the had not got their item yet and some even wanted their money back. You will need to wait - Just like it is spelled out!

You needed a drink purchase back then, so while it's for the same product and same promotion, the details and price are different now :)

The original was my post. Since you no longer need to buy any cans of Kirks, I think this is a legitimate new deal.

I did however enjoy drinking my cans of Kirks Pub Squash and Pasito that i had to buy!

      • Marketing usually doesn't have much effect on me, but now that you reminded me how good that stuff tastes, I'm off to replenish my supply! I can't remember if they're half price at Coles or Woolies this week.

Great deal by the way. I didn't order one per your last post despite buying a few cases of the Kirks cans, but just ordered one now thinking it'll be a great Christmas pressie for my friend's kids at the end of the year.

WOW!! Just got myself one… I have no idea what to do with it but a definite bargain!

ya'll should check the water pressure in your area before you plonk down your $5. Childhood memories prompted me to buy an Aldi slip n slide back in November 2012 ($25) but it's basically unusuable because the local water pressure (ACT) is not enough to get the water to pump across the width of the slide - so essentially only a part of the slide gets wet. Also note that the boardies took 6 weeks to get to me (cool as they were) so you might be looking at late march for delivery of the slip n slide…In cooler climes, you might not be able to use it until Dec.

But yeah, all considered, a bargain for $5.

You're starting to sound like deal88..

I highlight $50 in app purchase cost concerns on your Galaxy On Fire 2 "Apple App of the Week post".
You then wrote…. "The only one that's doing the harassing is you.. don't like the bargain? Then neg and move on.."

It wasn't a personal attack on you - it was a neg for the in app up sells imbedded in this game - this was explained clearly in my response..

Take your own advice - move on.

Posting an attack in a new unrelated deal is not cool.

Perhaps not, but it's still $4.99 for a $24.99 product, which sounds like a decent deal to me.

The product is free Dufus. Whether or not you want to have it (by way of them posting it to you) is your choice.

I got the boardies and they ARE cool !! Its worth the wait . Good call OP

I would probably order one, but with the weather starting to cool down here in WA I think I will pass. Weather forecasts say it's only about 45C this weekend in Perth so I think I'll be getting out the old gas heater for one of the cooler weekends we have had this summer. Thanks OP its a good deal though.

  • I got both this and the boardies. Quite happy with the quality of both kirks promotion items.

I wonder if I can take my cans back?

  • I got the boardies too, but wasn't quite expecting the "Kirks" name all over them.
Still, five bucks, I'll live with it :)

Have to share this - when looking at this page, the ad in the middle is for a personal injury lawyer.

We purchased a triple racer one for the kids for Christmas. It comes with vinyl repair patches which are useless if the seam comes undone. Ours had a 5 cm section of seam come undone before we even used it so I used some paper clamps to keep it closed. I emailed them weeks ago but no response. It also says to use a short hose about 1 metre long to kleep the pressure high enough. Yes.. we all have a 1 metre long hose adjacent to our lawns ! We ended up using the sprinklers to keep the thing wet enough. Always good fun for the kids in the end.

    • We had a similar issue.
Very disappointed by the water pressure issues for the triple racer.
Definitely going with a single one in future.

  • I think there is a bug on their website.
My address, "Kay Court", became "Kay Court Street" in the confirmation email.
The system added "street" at the end of my address.
I'm sure I didn't put "street" in the address field.

    Anybody has the same issue?

    • Yep same thing happened to me, my address is now 123 fake street street.

Not worried though, I'm sure they will fix it before they actually post it.

      • +1

        It worries me.
There are fake street and fake court in my suburb and they're about 3 km away.
I live in fake court and received couple Christmas cards for fake street last December.
I wonder how many of my letter had been posted to fake street.

        • Bad town planning.

  • Great find. Thank you. Hopefully the weather will hold out for this summer, otherwise, it might just be an xmas pressy for someone next year :)

Can confirm that the Wham-O slipe and slide shown in the picture is great! I'd order one but I already have one, so I'll leave it for someone else to enjoy :)

Just be careful as an adult jumping on a slide and side - you can really do some damage - http://www.cpsc.gov/en/Recalls/1993/WHAM-O-Backyard-Water-Sl…

Great link. So we could make back the $4.95 postage in an injury lawsuit?

This will go well with my kirks mambo boardshorts

    • How good are they! Loving mine :)

Have to share this - when looking at this page, the ad in the middle is for a personal injury lawyer.

  • Will this work as well with the Budgies as it will with the board shorts

  • I dont ever remeber "Gest" having this promotion!

  • Looks pretty fun! Why can't adults use this? I would definitely give it a go with my kids.

    • +2

Phsyics! It has been a while but I recall F=m*A?

Too much 'm' combined with 'A' will result in a loud 'F' word.

  • +1

Drat! Missed it. All gone :(

This is what I got: "Sorry, but we have run out of Slip'N Slides and the promotion has now finished. We appreciate your support. Have a great summer."

  • now to find a hill…

  • Gone….

  • Was good while it lasted. Well done to all who got one.

Now all they need to do is bring some of those wacko flavours that I've never seen (Fruita, Sno-Drop??) to Qld… Kole Beer has only just started to show up in a few places.

looking down on the page where i found this, how come the one with the exact same name hasn't been published as its a duplicate when this one is later than that one??????????

    • When I posted the first one, Facebook was doing funny things to the Internet and I never got a page to say that it was posted successfully (wasn't listed in my account) so I reposted it.

Then afterwards I see that the previous one was removed after 3 minutes. The mods must've had a proper look and not such an itchy trigger finger the second time around.

  • lol ozbargained

  • I've got mine delivered today.

    • just in time for the end of summer….

    • Me too.

    • Got mine today…Forecast is rain for the whole weekend! :(
