  Does anyone know if there is actually a difference in print quality that can speak from authority/industry involvement rather than just "oh it just kind of feels better" or "in my personal opinion…" I'm just curious because I just got roughly 300 photos printed from Kmart at 9c a pop with an overnight wait and I'll kick myself if they are actually better quality.

    Yeah, I can vouch for HN having High quality prints, colour representation and sharpness I find to be really good, although I'm comparing HN vs Officeworks prints

      Last year we printed some photos at HN bundall, Domain Bundall, BigW runaway bay, Kmart Helensvale and JB hifi Helensvale.
      We printed the same photos at each store to compare and made sure it was just a straight print with no adjustments.
      JB was best and they had Kodak machines.
      HN was the worst (don't remember the machines)
      The Lady at Domain wanted to sit there and enhance each photo individually but I didn't want this as the photos were professionally taken so any enhancing was going to modify what the photographer has already adjusted.
      I think the actual photo quality pre printing plays more of a factor into the final result that where its printed.

  I was at Kmart tonight and 9c is their regular price. 15c for 1h prints. Not sure about the quality though.

  Photo reviews say the Fuji Frontier machines as used in HN stores are superior to other brands. The quality of the prints ultimately depends on how regularly and how well the machines are serviced.

  Can I anyone somewhere else to print, apart from kmart, bigw and harvey norman? I have tried all of them but not entirely safisfied with their quality. I am happy to pay a bit more as long as the quality is good

  No deal, 9c at Officeworks, K-Mart any day.
