I've got 2 recomendation. You are your own therapist and 1. buy only when the games you want fall below $30-$20. 2. Spend more time with real people in person instead of sitting in front of the computers or TVs and set yourself a goal each year so you won't regret time passes without achieving anything

is BF2 worth the time investment? over some more recent games i.e. BF3
If the online community for Bad Company 2 on Xbox is the same as PC… I'd say not. It was brilliant fun pre-BF3, but there's not much left in the way of populated servers nowadays (especially for us Aussies). I never played the SP, so I can't really make a judgement on that.
Still, BC2 remains to be my highest played game on Steam (perhaps not completely accurate, but it's up there at 140 hours) - probably the best $5 I ever spent. Though for $13, you can't really go wrong, IMO.

BC2 on consoles was pretty fun, heli's are harder to fly with a pad, so get less spawn camping killing players that ruin BC2 and BF3 on PC.
