    Harvey Norman have had the same pricing strategy as Bunnings. When they opened, they undercut the competition to force them out of the market (who remembers retailers like Megamart, Hardwarehouse, Billy Guyatts, Clive Peeters etc.), then once established, raise prices to RRP (or above), and offer a price match guarentee (which says to the non-wise "we are the cheapest, don't bother comparing"). 3 out of 5 punters won't compare, 1 out of 5 will check the main competitor, and 1 out of 5 follows OzBargain principals and actively seeks to hunt down a better price. They make enough out of the 3 to keep the other 2 happy.

    No doubt LG haven't made a special batch for HN, if HN will have stock in Feb, other retailers and Google Play will have stock. At better pricing no doubt.

      For OzBargainers who have found a MUCH better price, I've had the experience where they they refused to honour their price match "guarantee" because "that's below our cost price".

    Why are people calling HN a rip off on thus? In this instance they have an exclusive and they actually come in under the grey imports. I would have thought 550-600 would have been more in line with their usual pricing.

      Well, for starters it's unavailable until Feb, by which stage other places (ie Google Play) may have stock, therefore not an exclusive!

    availible to order from the google store again, will be interested to see what google does, wuold be funny if mr harvey goes against google… not like he can threaten him like they can with small manufacturers!
