    Just curious is the memory dual channel on the i5/i7 builds?

      We are using 8GB (1x8GB) DDR3 RAM on all of our packages.

    Hi Mr Pcgeek (Do you have to spell your name everytime you give it? ;-))

    Looking for something very similar to the G540 package, wondering if there's space to add a firewire port - the only time it would be used is when I copy video from a video camera to the pc + some basic video editing.

    The rest of the time it would be for kids surfing the web, email, word processing etc so don't need stacks of oomph - wondering too if the G540 will handle the bit of editing I might do (would likely upgrade to 8GB RAM to help)?

      Video editing requires more CPU grunt than RAM, so prioritise on getting the Core i3 over 8GB of RAM first.

      For Firewire ports, if the board doesn't come with any just drop into an MSY store and buy a Firewire PCI-E card.

    Wow, I really considered buying the I5 3470 in the previous deal. But not knowing what motherboard was being used and unknown brand of power supply made me think twice.

    I ended up getting parts from MSY and putting them together on my own:

    Asrock b75 pro-m
    Coolermaster PC case RC380
    Intel I5 3470
    8GB G.skill sniper DDR3 RAM
    SATA pioneer dvd RW drive
    Antec VP550 PSU

    all for $449.00

    No HDD and graphic card though. I got a lot of spare SATA HDDs.

    Hi guys, good prices and deals as normal. I would love to see a HTPC though, preferably with a A8/A10 AMD chip, 7.1 capable board with HDMI out and a cheap case could be the Antec HTPC case with the built in PSU.

    Any chance of looking into it and adding a section on your site? From looking around there aren't many places that offer pre-built HTPCs so you could enter the niche market.
