decent price…i bought the vivobook through DSE before Christmas for $383 with free delivery.

Performance wise it's not going to turn heads but it's decent for browsing/email/office. . i bought it for my wife for her studies and it suits her fine. Selling points for me/us were it's light weight for taking from home to studies. . also the power adapter is very light as well. (not to mention the touchscreen which, imo, started to make windows 8 'make sense' for me).

i think it's weakest point is the trackpad. . no where near as good as my macbook air…it's not very responsive and sometimes doesnt register scrolls/clicks.

Overall tho, considering it's price, it's good value if you're in need of something light and for doing everyday computer activities. .

(i havent tried a game, but we dont play any so that doesnt really concern us)

      The R500A series stays pretty cool on the touchpad area even after some hours - making it great for long hours of use (what it was meant to be). Also, this model's lowest price on staticice is $595.

  It only comes with Windows 8 pre-installed.
  To get around the situation, you may consider the doing the following:
  i. Purchase Windows 7 Operating System from us.
  32 bit Version
  or
  64 bit version
  
  ii. Purchase the desired SSD, follow by the installation service below:

  iii. Once you paid, PM me your order ID, so i can let our technician knows that he needs to install the Windows 7 onto the SSD instead of the Windows 8
