This is a pretty good deal if any of included magazines interest you. 6 - 12 issues for $5 depending the magazine.

It is Zinio…
I joined them on a free promotion a while back.
there weren't enough content that would interest me.
I moved on a week after that. Are you serious, nothing to interest you?????
Lol. Same. As soon as I realised they had nothing on German Hard Core Industrial Electronica, or Pudding Recipies I was another disgruntled customer.
The free promo only had a selection of magazines though. You should check out the entire range…
Good find. Needed to renew a few subs I had anyway.
Thanks OP just renewed one of my subscriptions at a very much reduced price. Appreciated the heads up.
Put digital in the title.
I would have thought that the fact that it's Zinio makes it self explanatory?

just saw you pasted the full list. many of them are much better/useful than vogue, imo.

Most of these libraries are good for ebooks too (via overdrive).
Be aware it defaults to auto subscribe.. so when the discounted issues finish it will automatically charge you full price unless you opt out. You can uncheck the option when adding to your cart.
It has a tick for that when your buying it, just untick the box
Not any more it doesn't.
Awesome deal - even if digital, I an look on my iPad or PC whenever I feel.
Pity a lot of the magazines didn't have any real pages to preview what's inside.
Question for current Zinio subscribers, since they don't have a proper FAQ on their site.
The idea of digital magazine subscriptions is a sound one, as well as the ability to purchase single issues & back issues. What format do Zinio use? Is it an open one like PDF or epub, or a special proprietary DRM protected one that I can only view using special software? What is the size/resolution like? In the old days, digital releases tended to be low res and have jpeg compression artifacts. Is Zinio an improvement quality wise? If I am purchasing a digital magazine, I expect it to look as good as a printed one, just like if a purchase music in mp3 format I expect them to not sound inferior to a CD.
awesome deal - thanks.
refer to google search:
Q: Can the magazine be downloaded as a PDF file?
A: No. Your digital edition of PC Magazine can be saved to your computer and viewed using the offline reader. It is saved in Zinio (.zno) format, which is optimized to give you a rich magazine reading experience using the Zinio Reader.
I just did a bit of research. There isn't much information, but apparently the Zinio format is heavily DRMed. You can only read it on the device you downloaded it to, and are only allowed a total of 3 downloads per purchase, so it is more like a rental than a real purchase (such as you would get if you downloaded a PDF RPG from paizo for example). Unlike with PDF, you cannot copy and paste any of the text of images, which is a big minus. The best you can do is to make a screen capture or print to a PDF driver page by page, but apparently printed pages are watermarked with your details.
When will these greedy, controll obsessed companies learn how much we consumers despise DRM. If I purchase something I ought to be able to consume it however I want, wherever I want, and resell it later (just like I can with a book or CD).
Just went to buy a few subs from this offer, but they have removed the ability to turn off auto-renew, which also means you cannot use PayPal for purchase.
Also means they won't be getting the purchases. Silly move by Zinio.
Note these are for the digital versions not the printed magazine
