Bought one of these a while ago from OW. It's hooked up to my desktop PC via back USB 3.0 port. However my PC doesn't like to boot with this drive attached. If I give it enough time it'll eventually boot but Windows won't recognize the HDD at all, even in disk management.

I'll have to unplug the power from the HDD and reconnect for Windows to recognize it (reconnecting USB cable doesn't work). My mobo is a Gigabyte P67A-UD3R-B3, Win7 64-bit.

Anyone else have the same issue?

  i have the same mobo and it does funny things like that i do not like.

    So probably the drive and not just me then. Sort of defeats the purpose of using it as a drive for backups then if it can't really be connected and working at the same time…
