LOL!
Hmmm. How many is quite a few?
The box's were stacked on the floor and went up about 5 high, 4 deep…so maybe 20 or so??? I reckon there will be some there tomorrow but you never know….
For $199 it's worth the drive there to buy 1,,, or 2 :-/
AT 149 I'll jump on it.
800 x 600 isn't very high resolution.
The price isn't very high either..
Yea, I hope no-one was expecting 1080p for that price…
Anybody need to play gameboy emulators and feel their screen isn't big enough?
Makes a great TV monitor, especially outside shining on a screen.
Summer night, cold drinks, stars above, movies or sports (or pr0n?) playing = awesome!
Sure, invite the neighbours over to watch pr0n. Why not?
Just project it up against their house. Always a good laugh.
They dropped to $249 and now $199. I guess they need space since it has been there since their opening special :)
They still have a lot of stock from many of their other opening promos too.
They had cheap laptops didn't they? Were they marked down further?
Last I heard they were at $349
We have one of these (paid $299 I think). They make good data projectors and are stupidly bright. Main downside is it has poor video playback performance. For the most part of a DVD movie you could probably accept it (or grin and bare it depending on your expectations). In some instances like a panning camera shot you will observe a shuddering/strobing effect. Mind you, I saw The Hobbit at the cinemas and saw the same effect so you could argue "it's cinema quality". Also in videos is the low resolution, the picture is very 'sharp' so you notice the pixels (no anti-aliasing?). These were observed using a DVD player connected via a component->VGA adapter (which this projector supports), perhaps when connected to a PC or even if it is configured differently (interleaved vs progressive?) it may negate these issues?
But for 200$ its pretty damn good, we purchased it as a data projector (for events and such) so that we wouldn't have to disconnect and move the main movie projector, and as a data projector you couldn't ask for more. Anyway, Aldi have a 60 day return policy, if you don't like it/unsuitable for any reason, simply take it back for a full refund.
how far would you need to put the projector for 100"??
According to the spec sheet you would need around 4m from screen to projector.
so i guess this is only at carnegie?! :(
Did some research last night and it's exactly what i require. Went there and got me one this morning approx 9am. There was 40+ available. 12 stacks of 3 plus a few more scattered around.
Let us know what you think of the performance if you don't mind? :)
Damn you. Great price for shit i dont need.
