I was searching through potential deals at Supercheap and noticed that SCA duct tape was on sale for 2 for $7.99. Pair that with the 25% off SUPERFAMILY coupon, and the price drops to 2 for $5.98.

Not the cheapest ever but I haven’t seen a deal on this since the 2 for $4.99 in Oct 23.

Better to source these things separately, for reasons.

  • Is this different from cloth tape? Which is better for taping carton boxes

    • Definitely different to cloth tape. Do you mean taping cardboard boxes? If so, you should be using packing tape.

      • I have some packing tapes that are brown in colour. It's not sticking properly. It's coming off. Cloth tapes work better?

It's either cheap or old tape that you're using. Get a roll of decent packing tape to tape cardboard boxes. Pay cheap, you pay twice.

MS Paint is right! You must have some crappy tape, as packing tape usually sticks really well to cardboard. Cloth or duct tape would be overkill and much more expensive.

          • @travisty18: Thanks guys for the responses. I will buy a decent packing tape. Pls suggest any brands.

  • I've seen doctors in poorer Asian counties use these to seal up wounds

    • another related interesting fact. general purpose superglue was not a product for selling at hardware, but developed to seal wounds quickly in war.

  • nothing brings a family together better than duct tape.

  • Holding out for a decent deal on Goose or Swan tape.

  • If you need tape to stick to what you want it too. Do get get SCA branded tape.
