Excluding the fact that this ones a 2k 14' and touchscreen ips vs a non touch 4k oled 16'?

I mean the hx375 eats 288v for breakfast anyday of the week performance wise (and still maintains a good battery life), HP is also better looked up on for build quality etc than msi, outside of that, HP also have, alongside dell and lenovo, fast onsite support (think its 3 business days turnroad for consumer rigs) and overall bests MSI for warranty/repairs.

Actually HP tends not to rate very well for reliability. But I was surprised to see in this article that MSI laptops were rated second (below Apple and above Lenovo) for reliability by PCMag.

  • Does anyone know if this has a 2242 or 2280 ssd?

    • +1

The lack of specifics on the HP site is really annoying.

      • I chatted sales support who said 2280. I'm not convinced though as I had to explain that they came in different form factors…..

      1. Why don't you just check the documentation?

        Thanks. The document is helpful.
In answer to your question is that I didn't know that document existed or how to find it having never owned an HP product before. In my experience, this information is available on the specifications page for any given laptop. I couldn't find it so I asked for help which you provided.

I'm not sure if you meant to come across the way you did but thanks for the info, it is appreciated.

Only con is the 2k 60hz IPS panel

    • +2

Yep. Stopping me from buying it too. Though it is energy efficient if perfect picture isn't the priority

      • What would be your choice of panel?

        • Probably oled. People said once you see oled you cant go back.
But if 75% usage is docked ips is fine

          • @McMaferMur: docked with an external monitor you mean, or docked as in it's being charged?

            • @callane: docked with an external monitor. my usage is like that, probably 95%.
the 5% is when travelling overseas once or twice a year that also just mostly for on the plane

        • 2K 60Hz IPS is great for battery life. But I can't go back from OLED now for my personal device. It's stunning. I could handle miniLED I guess. Lenovo 2.8K 120Hz OLED panels are STUNNING. But seems they compound battery life issues…
