Based on the C4 prices that i looked up you can get lower than this. I saw $3800 or so but it'll be a few months wait.
Remote is better on c4 than c5

Well, the C4 77 is showing for me (via union shopper to TGGC) as $4761 and the c5 $4204
So C5 plus $550 odd bucks does a whole lot more than the C4 on its own.

I regret buying a 77 inch that just got delivered and installed today, now thinking should have gone with a 83 inch.
Can I ask what size you were upgrading from? I've never owned bigger than 55 so 77 is still quite a jump for me.
This is a great deal. Hope it gets honoured for anyone that buys. I got the C4 77 a while back and it's a beaut, was more expensive than this C5 pricing!

Just measured the wall where I wanted to place my TV and 77 inch is 67.5 inch in width so would cover part of the window frame on either side 😞 .. had to settle for 65 inch.
At least you know you got the biggest you could fit. I bought a 55” to replace a 55” once, regretted it and got a 65” two years later. I’ve since moved to a house with a smaller lounge room. Love it.

Not really. It's a smidge brighter but not much, particularly if you luck out with an evo panel on the c1. Which, admittedly, did have very slightly better burn in protection. But fundamentally they're still the same television. I'd argue c1 maybe even better overall cause it was the last generation to still have 120hz true BFI, but that only matters if you put a premium on motion clarity above all else cause of the trade off with brightness (some people do).
You can actually check if the c1 is an evo panel going by the serial number, the 2nd half of the c1's production life cycle all became evo panels. All the g1's were also evo panels fyi, so either of those would be good enough imo.

I have the now older c7 and still looks amazing.
G3/G4 added MLA, G5 now scraps MLA and introduces Tandem OLED for the first time, which is currently only on the latest Ipad Pros afaik. It will also feature on the Panasonics this gen but unfortunately they abandoned the Australian market a little while back..
Yeah, love my 65 GZ1000 Panasonic. Bought one of the last ones in March 2000. Compared to the 77 TCL 855 I bought, even after playing with all the different settings, the PQ on the GZ is noticeably better than the TCL.
I'm guessing theirs no downsides for going from MLA to Tandem? just pro's ?
@NoldorWarrior: Not currently. It's actually quite a generational leap on par with what MLA was originally.
Panasonic recently started selling TV’s again in the US. Hopefully they do the same here.
Tandem OLED is now also on the Samsung 27" 4k panel being used in monitors like Alienware AW2725Q which I just ordered, plus PG27UCDM / XG27UCDMG / MPG272URC / MO27U2

Always looked after on Care mode ,
pixel cleaning etc.
It had the beginnings of burn in at close to 2000hrs going through the test modes
I’d be interested to know if anyone’s else is experiencing this with their tv in normal use.

Pixel shift onWatch mostly "talking heads" and the centre of the screen is not as bright as the rest but only noticeable on a plain colour dark picture.

Prob the S90D. But just keep in mind the Samsungs are a lot less plug and play friendly than the LGs so you will likey have to fiddle around and lot more to get the TV to your liking.
Definitely not S90D. Their review unit is not the same display technology as Samsung sells in Australia. Its WOLED not QD OLED. Only 55" and 65" are QD OLED and 77" and 83" are WOLED. I was keen to buy it but end up getting C5.
Oh yeh wow sorry forgot about the panel lottery on the 77"s, if that's the case yeh as he said above def. Although technically it won't really matter cause it's WOLED v another WOLED, still LG pretty much does everything on those better software wise.

I don’t think that is fair, Samsung panels are rated highly.
For my taste though, Sammy does oversaturate colours which I don’t like, but a lot of people like the pop. And Samsungs don’t have Dolby vision.Which is why I went LG c4.
