Reminder to screen record transaction, have a look at when tracking times out and set yourself a reminder to follow up

Begrudgingly I'll upvote, it's keeping my dietary-challenged cats pantry well stocked

Like what OzBMater8911 said, screen record you doing the transaction, I had an experience with Cashrewards where they tried to deny me saying something about my cookies, I showed them screenshots and they were then happy to grant the cashback

They weren’t happy, rather forced to..

    • happy legally had no reason not to.

      • there's a also a lot of reports where even screen records could not convince them. they are just calculating how likely it is you take them to small claims court as "cost of doing business".

you are lucky - my cashback with Cashrewards worth $25 was declined because CR said the merchant didn’t attribute the sale to CashRewards, and stop responding further when I showed the proof of multiple screenshots showing my transaction was using CashRewards App!

it is the second time Cashrewards did that to me - don’t trust them anymore.

100% had similar experience with Cash Rewards; will never bother with their promotions ever again.

I've not had any issues with ShopBack so far (fingers crossed); but I do screenshot my browser/cart while checking out. Might switch to screen-recording just to play it extra safe.

        • Yes agree - since TA left CashRewards, I feel it is going to “south”.

      • Agreed. Personally, I've never had an issue with Shopback (touch wood).

On the flipside, Cashrewards has burned me several times, so I rarely use it these days. I will only do so if the cashback is upsized, and Shopback's is minimal, and I'm making the purchase regardless of cashback (so not too p1$$ed when it falls through).

What's TopCashback like? Worthy as a secondary CB site?

  • Is this tonight or expired?

  • hardly worth it depends on what you buy. my item has already gone up 20$ in price. could just buy it direct from the store outside of ebay now for the same price i would have gotten it after this said discount

  • Shopback can never be trusted. I made a single order from 3 different stores on ebay and cashback from 2 stores got tracked but not the one with more expensive purchase. How is that even possible?? Only possible with SB.

    • Happened with me when i got a dyson. Came to about 140$. Never saw it

  • Ok who’s the mvp here with the search link on what is not part of the exclusions

    • +1

Follow the link on the second line on the OP

      • Not sure what I am missing, but clicking through those links only takes me to pages which have either store pages or broad categories of items, not a search of all the items?

So I keep seeing bank bonuses. What the cheapest and easiest way to get on that gravy train?

    • Open an bank account. All but Westpac have unconditional no monthly fee. Only add the exact fund for purchase.

      • Only add the exact fund for purchase.

It used to be the case that you could pay most of the cost using gift cards, and then a small balance directly using your linked WP/BOM/STG/BSA card.
Will this still work for the bank bonus?

        • It worked for me months ago. I didn't do it recently.

  • Just to clarify, is it stacking 12% + OFF15%or20% + Bank10%?
And each of those have a cap of $20 except OFF20 is $300 cap?
Post description is a bit confusing.

    • Ya
Can you tell me which part is confusing?
Both the title and description seem to be pretty clear to me :)

      • Does bank bonus still work when using a different coupon?

    • The coupon offers 15% or 20% off ($300 max discount).
      Then there is a 12% cashback ($20 cap) + 10% bank cashback ($20 cap).
Cashback and coupon codes are different, and sometimes cashback is not eligible with coupon codes unless listed. The post is saying this particular coupon code is eligible.
Coupon codes are used on the website and offer an immediate discount off the total, whereas cashback is based on how much you paid excluding GST, delivery fees etc.

    • Yes, it'd stack all. The problem with the OFF20 though, if you read that thread, there's hardly any item included. Even the original sellers on the offer link itself, none of them works with the code

  • Does anyone know if cashback is valid if an eBay seller sends an invoice? Still following process of opening eBay from shopback etc

  • $166.6666 x 12℅

    = $20
