Ozito PXC 18V High Pressure Air Inflator - Skin Only $34.98 (Was $59.98) + Delivery ($0 C&C/In-Store/OnePass) @ Bunnings

2200

For tyres and sports equipment
Preset pressure digital display
3 x inflation adaptors

Edit 1:
Great for a home garage or keeping in your car for emergencies—at this price, you can't go wrong. With many battery and charging deals posted, it's easier to jump into the PXC range.

I have the ALDI equivalent, and even though it's five years old, it's still going strong. I use it to pump air into my car tires and footballs. Got this as a spare.

Edit 2: [Added FAQs to help the community]
FAQ:

What is its purpose?
As the name suggests, this is a high-pressure, low-volume pump, making it ideal for inflating tires (car, motorcycle, bicycle), as well as footballs and more. Yes, it can inflate a flat tire, but it will take some time. I use a similar one for top-ups in my car

Can this pump inflate an air bed, kayak, or pool floats?
No, this pump is not suitable for those. You'll need a different type of pump, such as this one https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-cordless-high-volu…, thanks to @theguyrules. There are other recommendations below, but this one is currently on sale, and I have personally used it.

  • Ordered thanks OP. Gotta use that OnePass Free Trial.

Is this any good for filling up the air mattress?

    • No it is high pressure. Takes forever, better off usng your lungs. You need the little low pressure, high volume one for that. It works a treat.

    • I just inflated a bestway pool using the hair dryer, works pretty well

    • I just use a leaf blower. Works fine and really quick.

  • keeping in your car for emergencies

Make sure you keep a battery in there as well.

  • Do these work with Ozito PXC 18V 4.0Ah Lithium-Ion Battery?

    • Yep

  • had one for a while, great for balls, bikes and topping up car tyres - no brianer for that price.

dont expect amazing performance - pumped boat tyre up recently from dead flat (old trailer) - did do it but took ages.

  • Does this deflate too?

    • +1

No. I just hold the bit over the valve to let air out then check the psi readout and add air if I go too far.

  • Is this the Ryobi equivalent ? - https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-18v-one-cordless-air-infla…

Or which one from Ryobi is good for - Car tyres, bicycle tyres and balls ?

  • Anyone used this with a standup paddleboard before? Even if it goes just 70% of the way and the other 30% finished with the manual pump, I'd consider it.

    • +1

I would rather manual pump the first 70% and let it do the other 30% :D

    • Again, like all the other questions about inflating things at low pressure you want a high volume pump for that.

They sell a high volume inflator: https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-cordless-high-volu…

Alternatively, a leaf blower or workshop blower will inflate it most of the way in 10-20 seconds. Then use the hand pump to pressurise.

  • +1

Excellent, got one for peking duck

  • Just IMO but I think the box style dual function ones would perform better and about the same price if someone for whatever reason was going to buy both anyway
    https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-cordless-inflator-…

I got the Aldi PowerG version cheap on clearance a few years back, been pretty handy as a pump and suction vac.

    • I've got this Bunnings one. It's excellent and serves the dual purpose.

  • off-topic but what would you recommend for inflatable SUP board?

  • Anyone used this to pop tubeless mountain bike tyres from empty? I.e. can it push air fast enough?

    • I'm also interested if anyone has used this to inflate road tubeless from empty?

  • +1

Can vouche for this one as have been giving it light to medium use over 12 months in worshop and on the road, works well

if you keep use within expected limitations and a few minutes more than bigger units.

  • Thanks op got one!

  • Anyone know if it comes with a presta valve? I can see the schraeder valve there but not sure if that black long one is a presta or not.

    • +1

The little brass adapter is for presta valves. Works a treat. The schraeder valve fitting is built into the end of the hose.

      I mentioned it here

      • +1

bought some of those adapters as single units from a bike shop a while ago. On that basis, I'd guess that little brass adapter is $5 right there…

        • +2

$5 retail. About 12¢ for ozito to include in their kit.

  • And here I was thinking I was only addicted to Eneloops…

  • Great for a home garage or keeping in your car for emergencies

Even if you have Ozito batteries you'd be better off buying something like a Xiaomi air pump 2. Has an in built battery so better for emergencies and keeping in the car.

    $47.30 on AliExpress https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006071049483.html

    • i've heard the xiaomi air pump / similar designs struggle to top up wheels without getting really hot and taking a long time

      • +1

Can't comment on the copies or earlier models, but I have the Xiaomi pump 2 and it's been great for topping up car and bike tires. No issues with it at all

    • +2

This is a good option, especially if you have limited space. I have considered it as well, as it often goes on sale. Personally, I’ve moved away from tools with built-in batteries and chargers, as I feel modular systems offer better longevity and value. Points of failure are distributed across three components—tool, charger, and battery—so if one fails, it can be easily replaced without discarding the entire system. Plus, don’t forget—Ozito offers a 5-year tool warranty, though I haven’t had to use it yet.

      • You made a good point. Powertools batteries rocks. Most of these toys/powerbank with integrated batteries are equipped with cheap and light Li-Po pouch cells which may puff up after a few years.

Most if not ALL powertools batteries are made out of the popular 18650 or the later 21700 cylindrical cell with a metal can and pressure relief valve, they last much longer and works very well for high discharge current applications.

  • +1

Favorite Ozito tool. When I got mine at the last sale (2024) it also came with battery and charger for the same price. Packing error for sure.

  • +1

Cheers, bought one. I'm in basketball stadiums 5 days a week, and someone is always looking for a pump.

    • +11

That's lucky. I guess you can also help them inflate their basketballs as well now.

    • +7

      Username checks out

someone is always looking for a pump.

  • Use this all the time for bike and balls. I like how the adaptors are stored on the device, or they'd probably be long gone by now.

  • Credit to this deal from @RichardL. Bunnings matching Aldi's Ferrex range with mowers, pumps, shears, trimmers, pruners, batteries and chargers.

  • Currently they have deal on the Ozito battery, I am looking for a charger deal too = )

  • can't believe how many here are using this for their balls!

  • Just bought one of these a couple of weeks back. Oh well, can't win em all. RIP :|
We use them at work which is why I picked one up. They work well and I'm already waist deep in the PXC eco system.

  • Any Ryobi battery adapter to Ozito?

  • I bought this last time it was on special and surprised myself how many times I've used this already. Soccer ball, bike tyre, wheel barrow tyre

  • Sometimes I regret investing in Dewalt tools. The skins and batteries are so frigging expensive in comparison.

    • Get a DeWalt to Ozito adapter so can keep using those tools with cheaper Ozito batteries. Then slowly transition yourself to Ozito ecosystem

  • +3

I have a compressor and a tyre inflator, I really don't need this.

    I bought it.

    • +1

Now that’s true dedication! I’ve got a compressor, a battery-powered inflator, and a manual one—and I still bought this. You can never have too many ways to add air! :-)

      • You're not wrong, plus this being more convenient means I'll actually do it.

I pumped the girlfriends tyres up with this to test it, and yeah its not the fastest but it does the job. If you were inflating something quite flat it'd take ages, but hey I have ALOT of batteries.

  • Can this do car tyres or more for balls, etc? I occasionally have to top up my car tyres so this would help avoid that. Also, can you set the desired pressure?

    • +3

Perfect for car tyres. Yes you set pressure and yes there is a manual at the link for Bunnings.

  • -1

Is this good for Inflatable Stand Up Paddle?

    • +2

What were the answers to the 20 same questions above?

  • Can you use these to dust out PC's?

    • +1

No. Nothing would happen. You could try an airbed inflator. They are around $20 from Kmart, BigW and BCF (Boating Camping Fishing).

  • These things are awesome! never using a hand pump again.

  • Great tool. I use weekly to top up bike tyres. Gauge is accurate. I have the lighter 2.5Ah battery and it still lasts ages.

For the car, no longer need to use grubby and awkwardly placed car tyre inflators at petrol stations either.. though top ups obviously take a bit longer.

  • +1

$34.98 for the skin with a five year warranty. Less than $7 per year for all my home inflating needs? Sold!

Also, I just tried to order for free delivery via OnePass. My local store didn't have stock so it said delivery was unavailable. When I chose the nearest store for click and collect it then allowed me to have it delivered from that store instead.

  • I bought this for same price, pretty happy with quality https://amzn.asia/d/8jpDkKO

I need another one, wonder if I should get the Ozito one.

    • Your link is a 35L/min one which is much faster than this Ozito. The other one even claims 50L/min. If this is true, then that kind of design is much superior than the Ozito which is only 12L/min.

I bought this one but now feel regretted. Should look more on the airflow spec. To pump a type for 5 min, total 20min is quite unacceptable if you going beach driving.

It is also quite noisy. Much louder than I expected. Almost feel like an air compressor, but the flow rate is so small.

  • How are people ordering still as no stock nearby and wont deliver…stock at your local still?

    • Yep West Footscray, Sunshine, and others around Melbourne still has stock

    • +1

For delivery - choose a store with stock and buy from there. Make sure to select change all items in cart to delivery.

      • Thanks! Not how I expected delivery to work by selecting a store with stock from somewhere else

        • +1

Bunnings online buying model is very archaic.

  • Does anyone know what Bunnings online orders do if the allocated store runs out of stock? I placed a OnePass order with a store which had it in stock, but now its showing out of stock, but all nearby stores have stock. The order status is showing "Order Taken".

    • +1

      They will cancel your order.

      • Thanks. I've ordered another from a different store and its marked 'Ready for delivery' already.

        • I just received a call from Bunnings (the original store) that went to voicemail. They said they didn't have this in stock, but have upgraded my order to this one. Anyone know if it is any good?

          https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-cordless-inflator-…

          • +2

@shaneb: In theory combining them is a great idea, one for volume one for pressure. If it works, then it will be very useful. If it doesn't, you can always return it.

            • @skillet: Thanks. Yeah, it turned up and I've kept it. It seems pretty robust. I'll probably keep this one in the house and the handheld unit can go in the car.

          • +1

@shaneb: Got the upgrade too! Can’t complain since it’s a more expensive model.

            • @Capensis: @Capensis Cool. I've had it out of the box, but haven't tried it yet. Seems very sturdy.

  • Would an Ozito 1.5Ah battery be OK with this? It's not listed on the package.

  • Thanks Op, got one

  • I just installed a dual Presta and Schrader valve head on mine.
    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B003FVCWI4?smid=ANEGB3W…

  • Ordered one from West Hoxton and they cancelled the order saying it’s out of stock. Ordering again now.

  • Delivery seems to be out of stock now. Still a couple of stores for click and collect.

  • Worth their weight in gold no more trips to the petrol station to check your tyres the perfect gift to anyone who has Ozito tools.

  • Bugger! Hadn't been able to get to Bunnings and was going to go get this today, but the price just went back up to normal.

  • +1

If anyone else in Sydney is still after one of these I just grabbed on from Alexandria - the special price tag was still up on the display model.
