3k for a 55" OLED is insane. And not in a good way.

      • The g5 is out

What did bargainsgrabber say that got removed? Did he get a bit angry?

  • New LG OLED TV's will be released soon, the G series is a better panel in the new generation.
These might drop more in price in upcoming weeks.

Im going to wait for the new tech. It looks amazing. These models are overpriced now that we know what is to come.

        Same story every year.

Glad I managed to snag one on the [Retravision] (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/886411) , though it took 6-7 weeks to arrive.

Though will probably see similar prices when they are running them out.

      • wow, assuming you can get a full price refund on the soundbar this is a great deal then.

        • +3

My apologies, I failed to see this clause that’s mentioned in the comment below. This was mentioned in the JB catalogue.

Flog it off on marketplace then

    • Nope, because they don’t exist.

    • Think you mean 83".

      $6982 at JB.

  • 77 is where it’s at for sub $5k pre soundbar bundle. Dayum! That’s an ATL ticket price. Farkin steal if you can swindle the bar return

Nobody ever (…ever… !) regretted going bigger with a TV.

    • True, but plenty of us younguns rent!

      I got a 42" c4 for $930 and an IKEA unit for 1/2 price.

You also never know when you may have to go, in which case anything bigger than 48 starts being a huge hassle.

      • How did you get a 42”C4 for $930?

        • Accidentally lied.

Checked invoice - $1070 price match jb perks, into discounted GCs at my local TGG. $1020 paid, unlessn I got CB (unlikely with price match).

      • I rent and I have 3 65" TVs in my house. One of them being an OLED.

What exactly is the issue? The OLED is heavy because of the glass, but I'm struggling to understand what's so unmanageable about the size?

        • I am single. Moving it alone is not easy.

    • A fair way from the ATL I'd say.

      • Nah that’s the c4…

If TV or Soundbar is refunded for eligible change of mind, offer will be forfeited and the offer amount for both products will be deducted from refund amount.

From the banner on the front page

    • They’ve finally done something about it?! I can’t find this text easily in a banner as you say, though don’t doubt it

      • +1

Wasn’t in the banner. Was mentioned in the catalogue in the fine print.

        • Should be stated on website too if not, given the ability to buy the bundle online…. that said, policy is clear and sounds like you’d have to get a particular sort of staff member to get a refund too. Price is still good tho, whether can return or flog off on marketplace would be a bonus

The prices have dropped across most retailers in the last day or two except for goodguys. VideoPro currently has the lowest price for the LG C4 65" at $2588, $2 below ATL plus $200 gift card. I'm hoping for a little more drop on the 77" C4 but may start shopping around for a price tomorrow. I'm not sure if there will be another round with good stock levels before the 5 series comes out. Anybody know what usually happens at this point in the cycle?

  • If you need a tv now sure why not but I will wait on Black Friday to decide.

    • +2

This time of year when previous models are being cleared for new ones I think is generally better than BF

      • In the past yeah. But this past year they did such insane cuts on Black Friday a lot of the models have completely sold out (or sold out enough they don’t need to reduce pricing).

Applied more for the lower to mid range models than the oled panels though I admit.

$2768 at VideoPro for the 65" C4 and SC9S soundbar. $309 cheaper than the JB deal above.

$4168 for the 77" C4 and SC9S soundbar. $309 cheaper than JB combo.

    thoughts on Bing Lee deal?
    LG 65" OLED B4 at $2168
    LG 55" OLED B4 at $1645

  • Harvey Norman too! Worked out a bit cheaper
    LG 77-inch G4 4K OLED evo UHD Smart TV + LG SG10TY G Series 3.1 Channel 420W Dolby Atmos Soundbar = $5,079
+ Saved another $200 with Macquarie 4% off gift cards.

  • How much do you reckon you can get for the soundbar on marketplace?
    $300? $500?

    • +1

I reckon $500 is a good starting point, I'm contemplating on this purchase but do not need the sound bar. Would like to find a buyer for it distort before purchasing LOL

  • I got the 77' G4 for $4.1k back in November right before Black Friday sales, good to see it coming back down slowly! coming from 55 LG C8, what a mindblowing feast for the eyes!
