I can confirm that $0 purchases (with coupons) are still completing challenges as of Dec 2024.

Is it just me, or is eBay now the bottom of the marketplace pile?

It's basically Ali Express stuff, at a higher cost and delivered slower.

Quality is worse than ever. I bought an 02 sensor, fitted today…. It's a dud.

    • I bought a genuine Subaru part from a Subaru dealer cheaper than Subaru themselves and with cashback.

      Yeah "basically Aliexpress".

      • I did the same thing, was $30 dearer to go pick it up from my local dealer then it was to get one shipped to me from a dealer up north. In saying that it depends what you're buying but I'd never pay to sign up to ebay plus unless they have a $50 voucher deal or something like that. Even $20 aint cutting it anymore. Alot of the cheap stuff is identical from ali express though, even the same photos but with a ridiculous mark up.

    • Just you, I frequentely purchase from eBay (especially for car parts) as they are generally the cheapest and quickest delivey time.

Avoid buying cheap parts from China.

      • Any seller in particular on eBay for parts?

My item is indeed a cheapy from China.

yesterday deal tracked but 15% ebay bonus cashback was more like 10%

    • Probably 15% excluding tax and delivery cost if any

still seems way off, purchased same item/price in the last 10% and this time only got about 20 cents extra cashback

        3rd Feb - $12.48 last 10% cashback
        13th Feb - $12.63 yesterday 15% cashback

item $124.95 + $7.95 shipping (AUD shipped and sold from Australia)

        • Yeah that doesn't add up. My bonus was exactly 15% for a cheap TV remote even partly paid with gift card

  • Westpac user given shaft again. Does this mean I have to sign up a new bank account with these? What’s the catch eg. monthly fees. Should I close my Westpac account?

  • $5 but gotta wait 3 months for it. No thanks

Bank Bonus did not track again from yesterday's eBay deal. Beware!

    • Mine was tracked. Have you used the app?

      • +2

Yes I have used the Shopback app, click through the "Earn More" bank bonus page then it continues into the eBay app as per instructions on the app. Works fine earlier last year but nothing works properly since the big stuff up during the Amazon Prime Day approximately July/August. Same trouble with CWH and bonuses in Nov then again problems on eBay and bonuses a couple of weeks back.

Just warning people, since it has happened to me. Bonuses may not track and support is a pain in the backside in that it’s non existent.

My bonus from the Bonds extra bonus cashback from December still hasn’t tracked. Took over a month for a reply and when they did last week, they apologised and said it was fixed… a week later still not fixed and I have messaged them again and radio silence.

Be warned, don’t count on the cashback bonus. When the automated system works it’s great but when it doesn’t you are in for a world of frustration and automated AI replies.

    • The trick these days is only buy from retailers who have free returns. Cashback doesn’t track automatically? Return item. Saves the headache.

Downvoting as Shopback bank bonuses are a total lottery, with terrible customer service if it doesn't track. Use at own risk.

  • triggered odd bug: order placed Feb-14, tracked at Feb-13 ! then no bonus.

    • Enjoy the support circle of hell…
