Marketing blurb from Vornado

The Vornado 633DC Energy Smart™ circulator gives you up to 80% energy efficiency with its powerful DC motor that moves air up to 24 square metres. The simple variable speed control gives you precise control of the signature “Vortex Action” creating whole-room circulation, keeping the entire room cool and comfortable.

The Vornado 633DC comes with a variable speed control knob to adjust airflow from whisper quiet to a powerful high setting for quick room circulation, multi-directional airflow and a 5 Year Replacement Warranty. This Air Circulator can be placed on the floor or tabletop. Maintaining the 633DC is simple with a detachable grill that provides easy access to the blades for cleaning.

Unlike typical fans, a Vornado creates whole-room circulation using an airflow phenomenon called “Vortex Action”. An inlet guide cone directs air to the most efficient portion of the blades. In turn, the wide, heavily contoured blades churn the air into motion. The air then travels through a duct which sculpts the air into a column shape. As the air exits the Air Circulator, Vornado’s AirTensity™ Grill straightens the airflow to ensure the air travels long distances. The airflow column will spin and twirl to the opposite corner hitting the wall where it will split off and recirculate to the centre of the room.

    • No it doesn’t

For this model, you can pair it with a Smart Plug to turn it on/off remotely via mobile app.

Thanks, as I have vornado 660, it cannot be done (when connected to a smart plug, you have to physically turn the button on)

I could use zigbee/wifi push button thingy, but it’ll be a pain to keep replacing its battery

  • No remote? I guess I'll stick with our still working 10+ year old Vornado then that's loud as hell but still going strong…

    • have you cleaned it much? keen to hear the maintenance and serviceability since you've had it for 10 years, hope mine lasts a long

      • would love to know as well, definately would need cleaning. I have had it for over a month and the dust this fan collects amazes me, didn't realised there was this much dust in the room.

      • Cleaning what cleaning….
Comes out in November and back in the cupboard around April. It has started to make a slightly different noise now on the lowest setting so perhaps I should touch it with a cleaning cloth finally…

  • $100 and I give it a try (Was $136 before). I have faith in Amaon.

Four years ago since it was that price, and it's never been $100. You might be waiting a while.

  • This thing is great. Use mine daily. Great for moving aircon around the house. It pushes my aircon down the hallway 10+ metres away.

Has anyone used Muji Oscillating Circulator Fan and have thoughts on that?

  • this is an option for those interested in a quiet dc fan with a wide range of speeds and oscillating function

  • Please pardon my confusion or even ignorance. DC, does that mean, it should have an inbuilt battery to be charged and to be used wirelessly, but this one has a power cord?

  • I know this post is old, but i've tried to sign up twice to Good Guys Commercial using legitimate business information, and haven't been contacted. Wow wee, I've always found them to be lacking in service but this is next level.
