Same as the deal last year. I have this kit, and it’s the best bang for your buck/best build quality. Grabbed another one.

Great for hassle free plug and play culinary herbs.
Consider getting ph/ec meter.

This will not work for stuff - you need higher light output.

  • I like the idea of growing my own herbs but knowing me I'll screw it up somehow and they'll die.

  • What herbs grow best in it?

    • Salad/lettuce, kale, roket, radish, peppers, etc

      • +3

How much lettuce do you have to grow in this thing to break even at ~$126 (not including electricity/water etc)?

        • hydroponic fertiliser ain't cheap

    • +8

Well, not me that's for sure…

Can this grow tomatoes? Asking for a friend

    • I planted tiny tim tomatoes, will see how thew go. Again, you can get bigger lights if your friend wants a proper harvest

      • +1

They always start off tiny ;)

        • ha ha :)

    • Tomato plants grows pretty big pretty fast and most can reach 2m in a few weeks so unless you got a dwarf variety or just using it for seedlings I don't think it's suitable.

      • +2

I don't think those are the tomatoes that bigpoppa are referring to.

        • tomacco

    • dont grow weed in this

    • How is this one different from OP's post?

      • +1

        OP unit has wifi 🫠

        • +2

          Wifi 6e or 7?

  • Hey op does the pump in these last long?

    • +1

If its the same or similar pump to the idoo system then I would say they won't…..judging by the price point I'm assuming it would similar quality to idoo.

      • I’m sure YMMV but how long should I expect them to last? Is it worth the cost, space and etc compared to buying lettuce and herbs once a week?

        • +1

          Here you go

Should add to that, my inlaw got 1 shortly after i made that comment despite my advice against it….his had the Pump die within the first 3 months, he kept it running thinking that he can just swap the water every now and then, a good portion of the LED's stopped working closer to the 6 month mark.

Again, for anybody coming across this i'm speaking about the idoo systems, which are in a similar price bracket to the OP's listing…i'm making assumptions that this is similar quality to the Idoo

  • does this let pot grow

  • A 17min video in the listing? My herbs would've grown by then.

  • Noob city girl thinking of apartment herb garden - will this bring insect indoor?

  • I am disappointed I missed out. This would have made a great present.

  • Can you grow chilli’s in this?
