10x Flybuys Points on Bunnings Gift Cards @ Coles (in-Store Only)

980

Full credit to FreePoints

Next week, Coles will have a cracker offer. I think this is just the second time that Coles has ever run a promotion on Bunnings gift cards.

It's 5% back, which is unheard of for Bunnings gift cards. The ability to buy $7,000 worth over the week with one Flybuys card makes it even more compelling.

Before it's asked, Bunnings gift cards can only be redeemed in-store.

Limit of 10,000 points per day.

Limit of 5 cards per day.

Enjoy!

also get change less than $10 to get it in cash rather than gift card

10x Flybuys Points on Bunnings Gift Cards and then pay by logging via onepass at bunnings and get extra 5x points?

    • My question also!
I’ve always got OnePass 5x when paying with gift cards. Not sure if that’s because the gift card was originally purchased without flybuys or not.

      • +4

I have purchased Bunnings gift cards from Coles in the past and earned standard Flybuys points on that purchase. I have then redeemed those Bunnings gift cards at Bunnings and earned 5x Flybuys points from OnePass.

I also had an offer on my Flybuys account about a month ago where I would earn 10x Flybuys points on purchases of Bunnings gift cards in-store at Bunnings. That Flybuys account does not have OnePass attached to it, so when I bought a $20 Bunnings gift card, I earned 200 Flybuys points. When I redeemed that $20 Bunnings gift card a few minutes later, I used a relative’s Flybuys account with OnePass linked to it and earned 5x Flybuys points.

        • All hail the points stacking master

  • Does this stack with the listed 4% cashrewards on orders over $200?
I assume not, but it should stack with the I think 5x flybuys points when you actually make the purchase of the actual things using the gift cards. Thus effectively 7.5% back, but would be even nicer if it could be 11.5%

    • +1

The deal is in store only (not that Coles even sell gift cards on the Coles website anyway).

  • Wish this applies even for coles reddy's express

  • can you use these to pay things purchased on power pass?

    • +2

Yes, I've been using gift cards to pay in store while getting the PowerPass discount.

      • Same
Ryobi gear using One Pass for 5x points
Other discount using Power Pass for discount and then using 4% discounted gift cards from PerkBox.
Cash back for less than $10 after using gift card

    • You want to go in-store to use the Gift Card, and then ask them for Free Delivery via OnePass ? 😁

      • +1

Why not, if it's a very heavy item?

Also they sell some items that they don't keep in stock but only order in after you've paid

        • +2

Bunnings only delivers free for items with total weight < 25kg for One Pass member

          • @Anthonio: Not just weight either 😁 won't deliver a mop without $25 delivery fee

  • +2

As mentioned above it's in store only.

Also Bunnings can't have balance on the Gac. We had a 200GC and purchased about 90 bucks worth of stuff, they gave us a new GC for 100 and loose change

    • Someone gave me a $50 bunnings GC, wanted to buy an item for $5, got told - nah mate too little either pay cash or buy more as they don't give change.

      • +6

They should have given you a new GC for $40 and $5 in cash

        • +3

Got jipped by an inexperienced staff then.

I even asked if they expected all gift card recipients to only use gift cards that covered their purchase.

        • +1

That is on a case by case basis only.

Use this Gift Card towards any purchase of goods at any Bunnings location in Australia. This Gift card can only be used once. When redeemed, the Gift Card must be relinquished to the cashier. Maximum change given is $9.95. Bunnings is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged cards. This Gift Card is not a credit card or debit card. This card is not redeemable for cash.

      • +2

The entire gift card balance is redeemed, the balance is given in gift card/s to the nearest $10 and the rest in cash. If you had a lot of time on your hands you could cash these out by purchasing a cheap item over and over.

Unfortunately the self serve checkouts don't accept them.

  • Bunnings gift cards issued in Australia can only be redeemed in-store at Australian Bunnings stores

Well that's a bummer, I was hoping I could use them at Tool Kit Depot :(

    • +1

I think it's more of a disclaimer because there are Bunnings stores in New Zealand.

      • That is what I had in mind when I wrote that sentence into the FAQ.

Having said that, the previous commenter also raises a good point, because Bunnings gift cards issued in Australia cannot be used at any Took Kit Depot or Beaumont Tiles stores (even though those are Bunnings Group stores).

The prezzee $10 bonus on $150 can be used for bunnings and works out to be 6.25% off.

Obviously limited to $160 per prezzee account each time they run the offer (seems to be quite frequent as I got one in Nov and one in Dec as well as yesterday) - but I only had $400 of things to buy at bunnings so it was fine

  • Perfect! I have some storage to buy. Is this from Wednesday?

  • I found that Category Choice Grocery gift cards can be used to buy gift cards at Coles, too. I used them to purchase physical Apple Gift cards in-store in the past.
