Spriggy is a platform that allows you to give your kids debit cards to use money that you've topped up. Functionally, they're debit cards.
How to get $20:
- Obtain a referral code or sign up with a referral link.
- Wait for the physical card to arrive.
- Activate it.
- Make a purchase. (note: I enjoy using the split payment feature at the Woolies checkout to accomplish transaction minimums)
- You should get $20 credit loaded into your parent account within 14 days.
Notes:
- It has an annual fee of $30 per kid or $60 for one kid, but a free month trial, so keep an eye on that.
- To make a spend, you will put a minimum of $10 into Spriggy, since the parent account top-up is $10 min.
- The $20 cannot be withdrawn to your bank account. It must be used within the app. Functionally, you can spend it.
- If you've signed up before, you can't do the referral.
The terms state you can only refer friends and family, so when messaging, make sure you're friends. ;)
EDIT: Spriggy apparently has a bad track record of not paying out referrals. Probably not worth it.
They did not honour most referrals last time. Go read their product review.
