Possibly a pricing error but the model did come out in 2010 and it's well and truly outdated by current day standards.
That said, I put an order through and will upgrade to Win8 the second it turns up (if it does).
You sure this one can be upgraded to Windows 8? Asking cause the Nokia Lumia 900 phones cannot be upgraded to Windows 8.
It's a PC, you can do anything with it.
Doesn't mean there are drivers for Windows 8…
Maybe not officially but drivers shouldn't be an issue
with proprietary devices like laptops and such aren't drivers always an issue. Good ol' HP still haven't released the drivers for my laptop on their website.

well when it came out it was ridiculously priced, tablet running a not very touch friendly windows 7. weighed a ton so you cant hold it for more than 5 mins. ms+hardware mfg's have been stinking up windows tablet market for years now. still struggling with win 8 and the 1000000 different hardware iterations to go with it.

your right but barley under $1000 it was $998 (save $300) 3 months ago, do you really think in 3 months that they would discount the item $880? cnet has a review from May 2011 that prices the 32GB version as a base model and worth $1000 at the time.

Site seems to be getting absolutely hammered atm! Managed to order one but had a panicking excruciating wait during the Paypal confirmation phase!
I made 2 orders, one with paypal and one with credit card, only the one with paypal seems to be processed, the credit card one is pending with no email sent.
My credit card (Wouldn't let me use NZ Paypal) has come through as per above, so must be something else.
