Reliable Outlet to Purchase Laptop Battery - XPS13 9310 (2 in 1)

Hi all

According to the W11 battery report, my XPS13 battery capacity has depleted to about 47% over the 3 years of use. There is nothing else wrong with the laptop and I still love using it so I don't want to replace it.

Does anyone know of any reliable places within Australia, I am in Melbourne, that can assist in sourcing a replacement? I spoke with Dell yesterday and they quoted me $220 just for the battery which seems somewhat high. I would be ok to go to eBay if anyone knows of reliable sellers. I am just conscious that the quality of batteries on eBay can vary. A seller that has a high feedback rating looks good, but feedback is often given at the time a purchaser receives their purchase. 6 months later and real world use may mean a different outcome.

I don't have any issue with popping the back off my laptop and doing the replacement myself, it's just finding a reliable and well priced seller that I am interested in.

    APAC Notebooks with 66,800+ reviews at 99.6% positive claim to have brand new genuine Dell batteries for $100. That seems the best eBay option.

    Just google "722KK Battery", and check the seller. Phinko has them for $87 on ebay.

    Don't necessarily expect the full claimed 52Wh, but it will be a huge improvement.

    I have bought a battery from Phinko Technology before in Melbourne CBD and it worked fine for many years until I ewasted the laptop.They have a good rep.

      I'm looking for a Dell battery and it doesn't fill me with confidence that Phinko lists their batteries as "Genuine Original Battery for Dell XPS 13 9370 9380 Series DXGH8 52Wh" - which has the Dell logo printed on the battery.
      Then if you scroll down to the 'Brand' it has "Compatible Brand: For Dell, Universal / Brand: Unbranded" and in big bold red text repeats the title "Genuine Original Battery for Dell".

      This is exactly what all the grifters on eBay do to skirt around eBay's policy for selling genuine goods. If you complain to them about it Phinko will say "ah well we never listed it as 'genuine Dell', we listed it as 'genuine original battery' and it is a battery, and we clearly labelled the brand as 'unbranded'. Case closed.

      Considering this is a non-genuine Dell battery they're selling with Dell branding on it, it's also illegal. They're trying to have it both ways - Dell branding on a fake battery to trick unwary buyers into thinking it's legit, and carefully-worded eBay listing to say the battery is unbranded.

    Thanks @bargaino & @techno2000, I will take a look at Phinko. Having someone on OzB who has bought and used their products before gives greater confidence.

    Updated 27/1/25, ordered some Tesa tape and OEM battery for iPad air first gen from mobilehq.com.au. ultra fast delivery on standard postage from Vic to NSW in 3 days, apart tape was slight bented, otherwise, battery made NOV/2024, able to charge and hold up to 7 hours for continuing usage by kids.
