Technically you're meant to record 200 minutes of qualifying activities on Strava to get the code, but it's generic. For those who dont want to exercise, its STRAVAFRESH. (Use this code on Hello Fresh.)

It'll get you a 2 person, 2 meal box for free (and then some partial discounts for a few weeks after), or a discount off a larger box.

Remember to cancel the subscription after the first delivery.

      you will get a chance to upload a picture before submitting the request (optional), if you want to have fun, write your complain on an image and attach it.

    • Technically they're the same thing - but your account being cancelled just makes it inactive - you can always go back and re-activate it with a new plan regardless

      • So does that mean your first order will be shipped?

        • No, unless it already had been. They've cancelled your whole account, so it's completely inactive, meaning all plans will no longer be active as well.

          I assume it's easier for them to mass-cancel accounts for the user to then re-activate later if they desire - rather than trying to cancel the plan itself

    Pretty sad state. I actually ordered 35+ boxes with them before though no longer an active customer. Odd that it's an account cancel, rather than a box cancel. They could've just cancelled this week's box, and at most cancelled the person's subscription rather than an account.

    • I guess I'm in the 10% then. I've used them, and other online delivered food services in the past. Only reason we stopped is because it just wasn't great value when adding young children to the mix. But who knows, this might've been the push to jump back on board with them in some way. At least for the two of us anyway.

        They are a multi millions dollar company, they are expected to deliver on their promos, they are also expected to implement their promos correctly. If they didn't that's on them and they are 100% to blame. It makes zero sense to blame the people who used the promo code if it's readily available.

    I actually finished the Strava challenge and tried to redeem this. When applying the code, it said FREE. But it ended with charging me $84.99. I then talked to the support, the agent told me that I will still receive the box, then ask me to contact the support again after receiving the box to get the refund. That's also good, but then today I received the refund of $84.99 and received an SMS: "Due to an error, the discount you received on your recent HelloFresh order resulted in you not being charged the discounted price. This was a mistake and we have cancelled your subscription. We appologise for any inconvenience.     I followed the link and it didn't allow to apply the same code again, and no way to redeem this deal.

    So I get the text message saying that my order is cancelled because "the discount code did not apply correctly" (when it did), and to follow the link to the replacement deal for $220 saving (it does not apply $220 of saving).

    This company is scum. Even outside of them not honouring promotions, their pricing is deceptive AF. Is there any way we can report this shit to the ACCC or whatevs?

    Edit: Contacted support. Less than useless. Submitted review at www.productreview.com.au. Suggest others do the same.

        Wrong. This is distinctly different to a price error. A price error is unintended. This was always intended to be a free box, marketed as such, and then reneged on.

          Did you record 200 minutes of qualifying activities on Strava to get the code? If you did well done, judging from the neg on the deal, you didn't. Therefore you don't qualify to use the code, whether it was a generic code or not, it was not yours to use.

    Got my order and account cancelled too … just an obscure email saying "we are sorry to see you go!" without any notice.
    We previously had a long running subscription (four meals per week), and wanted to see what the new boxes / offers are like after one year.
    Very poor PR, for not honouring and no repercussions.
    Yet SA government taking Adrian Portelli on grounds of unlawful Lotteries allegations - which LMCT+ (to my understanding) at least honoured wins.

    Used to be a regular HelloFresh customer and this has pretty much sealed the deal that I’ll never be back. Will request my data and account to be properly deleted when I get home.

  • I have so far earned about 2k in referrals from hello fresh. Have tried to charge my card a few times even though still had credit.

    Management wise things are pretty poor.

    They've cancelled it and no delivery happened over the weekend as per scheduled. One thing I did good was provided a fake name, mobile and a burner email.

    Unfortunately during our SE QLD heatwave and the delivery driver decided the best place to leave it was not in the shade by the front door, but on the path in the full sun!
    It was all so hot when i opened it that it was safer to walk a extra 10 steps an put it in the wheelie bin.
    Hot chicken, dairy and salmon anyone?

    So I contacted them and was told there’s not much they can do other than $10 off my next box!

      Got lucky that my delivery was late and delivered after 6pm, would have been in same situation otherwise. They send an SMS immediately after dropping off a box, usually.

  • Just received mine. I think the trick was to pause the first week delivery and get it sent the week after.
    Or it was just completely random that mine didnt get cancelled

    • I don't think that's a coincidence. Same happened to me. My account got cancelled, but my wife's, which I delayed a week, arrived yesterday.
