STRAVAFRESH

Technically you're meant to record 200 minutes of qualifying activities on Strava to get the code, but it's generic. For those who dont want to exercise, its STRAVAFRESH. (Use this code on Hello Fresh.)

It'll get you a 2 person, 2 meal box for free (and then some partial discounts for a few weeks after), or a discount off a larger box.

Remember to cancel the subscription after the first delivery.

"After completing the HelloFresh Challenge, where the athlete commits to 200 minutes of movement, they will unlock an exclusive discount on HelloFresh meal boxes."

EDIT: use the code on the hellofresh website

  • EDIT: use the code on the hellofresh website

Wish I read that before signing up to whatever Strava is. Oh well, thank you, dummy email address.

Use virtual card just incase, and just cancel the card…

Remember to use the referral code if you're a new user —> https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/767781 !!!

    • Probably should be pinned

    • +1

Thank you! The important part to remember is the linked comment which is:

keep clicking the Random Referral until you get one you like. The best value first time deal IMHO is the 3 boxes for 4 People (12meals), usually $135, for $10

So for new users, you could end up getting a lot more free food for $12 rather than a small amount for free.

      • Legend!

Looks like they provide fresh ingredients to cock the meal. I thought they were pre-prepared meals. I think I’ll cancel as I can’t cook.

    • +8

They have all the ingredients in the correct quantities and have a very simple instruction sheet that even comes with pictures. I believe in Unity

      • +3

In that case I might give it a go. Thanks

    • +1

‘Cock the meal’ ey. Didn’t think I needed extra sausage with my meal.

  • +1

E-bike is considered exercise? Ill give that exercise a go 👍

So the total for this saturday says $0 but then in the account settings->plan setting and payment method says :Next payment- 15/01/2025,will I get billed tomorrow? O.o abit confuse. I've cancelled next week.

    • Yeah that has put me off

      • same… now whether to cancel or not lol

  • +1

Says it will charge me $65 tomorrow before my meal is delivered?

    • Where did you see that?

      • Under account settings and payment method. But the my delivery page shows $0 for this weeks delivery

    • +1

I saw this too and immediately panicked. So I callled the customer line and the person who took my call assured me that there will be no payment taken. She could see the code ‘stravafresh’ active which gives $65 credit which is equivalent to 2 person 2 meal box.

      • +1

talked to an agent, same result, WE SAFE!!

  • +1

The promo code didn't work for me on the checkout page, but it worked under the Account Settings —> Redeem Promo code.

  • I’m a bit confuse. It’s says if you skip week 2 then you miss out on $65.01 off + shipping. Does it mean that you also get week 2 free as well?

  • Do I just need to cancel after my first delivery (which is this Saturday)?

    • yes

    • +1

If you go into the next Saturday delivery (2nd one0 and cancel this and the one after (third one), this gives you plenty of time to get your free delivery and cancel after without any chance of a charge.

  • Entered the code, said $0 cost and delivery for 2 people, 2 meal. then added a credit card and it says at the top:-

Sorry, it looks like we can't apply this discount as the offer has expired.

It says $65off this week + free shipping. How can I find out on the site if it will be free?

    Thanks guys

  • Got an email saying my account has been cancelled

    • Do you have multiple accounts? I remember they did this to me a few years back.

    • Mine said plan has been cancelled (assume that's what you meant) too.
And I actually did complete the challenge on Strava.

    • Got the same, I do/did have multiple accounts though so can't complain

  • +2

Got a $39 charge to my account at 1am. Legit did the exercise.
    Edit:
Rang to complain and they insisted that they needed to charge me ahead of time to pay for the cost of ‘buying the ingredients’ before I could get the delivery. Even though it was a free promotion.
Asked for a full refund and account cancellation.

  • Not sure how to get this working. Added the code which gives $0 total. However when I check the deliveries I'll be able to get the box delivered on the 21/01 with edit delivery by 16/01. In account settings it says next payment is on 17/01?

If I cancel the account on 16/01 pretty sure I won't get anything.

  • The workers packing the meals are going to be doing lots of overtime.

  • Tried to set up a new account but it wouldn't let me use the code and charged me for a "discounted" week. I cancelled online but they were going to still send and charge me for a box. Rang helpline @ 8.30pm and they cancelled the delivery immediately bloody awesome customer service from Hello Fresh. No charges on my Paypal yet (hopefully).
Then logged in on an old account and the code worked perfectly.

Thanks @haha45 that's 2 free nights tea for me - thanks again for the heads up.

    • +1

      Same thing happened to me.

They definitely make it hard to find the right place to enter the promo code.

  • code applied successfully, now I can see in "Your discounts" I have "$65.01 off meals + free shipping".

The normal 2 meals for 2 person is $65.99, does that mean they will still charge me $0.98?

  • Sounds like a great deal but I can see this ending in hold music, an awkward phone call and a lengthy email thread. I’ll pass this time

    • I think I will join you on this one. HF are notorious

  • Mine only deducted $30.

    • me too, and I had existing credit which is not applying, it only applies the $30 discount. Doesn't seem to be a way to remove the code from my account either.

  • +1

Had to call and cancel the order. They confirmed that the promo code STRAVAFRESH is spread over multiple orders, ie not deducted off the first order. Be careful!

  • +2

Created a new account, still shows $24 at checkout for me

Edit: Contacted online chat support and they said this:

Thank you for waiting, sadly we cannot honor the same discount for you, but this has been raised now to the marketing team to clarify everything.

    • I think they'll clarify, "ozbargained"…

Edit: Actually it's possible we've moved into "next week", Hello fresh weeks are Tuesday to Tuesday. Second week was $40 off…

  • +1

A warning for you. I logged in to hellofresh using Google and then try to look at a plan. New user

I clicked through a plan 2x2 and there was no way to choose meals until I had entered my name and address and credit card number. After I got to the place it had two suggested meals and I pressed select others because they look crap. After looking at available meals at hellofresh they all kind of look crap and I really was not interested. The HelloFresh Meals look small and unappetizing and even for free I didn't want it. In the top I could see the road map I was in the middle step and had not checked out.

I clicked out and it said my hellofresh subscription was active and I had until tomorrow to change deliveries.
    * Even though I had not completed the checkout process it just automatically decides that we'll send me 2x2 random meals a week
    * Even though it says I could change my options by tomorrow there was no way to skip this delivery
    * I found a place to cancel my subscription which I hadn't even confirmed
    * Even though a total of about three minutes have passed since I pressed log in using Google, It said you will be charged for one last box which will be delivered next week

hellofresh seems like a terrible fraudulent co.

    • I agree it is incredibly scammy. I had to call them and cancel. This information needs to be put into the description by the mods.

    • Happened to me too

  • +1

I've taken extensive screenshots to show I'm getting a $65 discount on Box 1, and have only $7.15 to pay (added choc mousse). Paying by PayPal. If they charge me differently I will open a case on PayPal which I'm sure I will win.

  • Thanks OP.

  • +2

There is no 2-Person 2-Meal Box option for me. The cheapest plan I can see is 2-Person 3-Meal Kits

  • Got charged $84.99 today for a 2 person 2 meal delivery despite saying it is free yesterday
Had to contact Hellofresh and lengthy discussion - they said too late to cancel, they are issuing me a refund after I showed them screenshots that I was legit eligible for the offer from the Strava app.

  • Dont do what I did. Big mistake.

I signed up thinking I could just pop in the coupon code and get some free meals. Instead I made an account, added the code and it didnt work. So i cancelled and they forced me to receive 2 meals and now Im stuck with the bill of $26. :@

many of you need to get Revolut :/

    • Or Wise. Use the referrals for both.

    • That doesnt stop them if you have an outstanding amount - they are well known to use debt collectors

  • So, theoretically, what would happen, if you created multiple accounts, ordered to the same address, under your “housemates”/“siblings” name?

Asking for a friend of course.

  • Seems as though they’ve changed the discount. Now trying to charge $24 for the first box. Only applying a $41.99 discount for box 1. Tried for multiple people and all getting only that discount, not the full freebie anymore.
