Just had my price tracker go off. ATL

Been looking awhile at this since black Friday. Couldn't pull the trigger. This one is now ATL now so grabbed one. One day prime deal.

Hopefully this corded steam deep cleans compared to my roborock s7maxV.

Been using the roborock with tile cleaner solution from bunnings. But on matte tiles need something stronger every once in awhile.

Supposedly best in class on vacuum wars, as corded beats non corded.

      • Thanks for that, Does it leave streaks or have to wipe afterwards

Only minor, won't be dry completely with minor wetness which you either leave to dry or wipe through with cloth if you need instant drying

  • Sorry for the basic question, but what's the difference between something like this and a steam mop such as this one from TGG(thegoodguys.com.au). I understand that this one has a vacuum built in, is that the only difference, that this is a 2-in-1 machine?

Some context, we already have a Dyson V8 that we use to vacuum our floors and I was in the market for a steam mop. Was gonna buy the TGG one before coming across this deal.

    • Yes correct this one sucks the dirt and water into the tank.

The other you looked at will result in considerably wetter floor and more leftover dirt piled up on the sides

      • Thank you!

This better than a steam mop as the dirt and dirty water is sucked up and filtered out and with the steam, hygenically cleaned.
You are vacuuming dirt and mopping all in one action. I would do a quick semi-vacuum along room edges for pet hair or major dirt for a really filthy place.
I am the kind of person who does a bit of a semi-wash on really caked dishes too.

Would appreciate existing owners feedback on the longevity of this unit particularly who has owned this for 12 months or more?

Oops thought I replied to your comment. See my reply below.

Yes, I've had this for a while now. Use it once or twice a month. See my other comments.

As others have mentioned, there is some maintenance though to keep it from becoming stale and crusted - so after the self clean cycle remove the roller, fluff it up to dry, and use a paper towel to wipe the insides where the roller sits before sticking the spare roller in. I also give the dirty water tank a rinse, and the roller cover and leave them off to dry before putting it all back together.

Quite a bit of maintence, but for what it does with steam, its worth while, especially if you're starting to get older and lack the continuous amount of strength to manually mop the entire house.

    • Thanks

  • Has anyone received there order? Its been a week and no sign of delivery yet

  • Any tips to keep the roller clean and not smelly?
After doing the cleaning cycle, then rinsing with clean water and giving it a scrub with the brush and air drying outside in sun and cloudy weather on multiple occasions, it still smells.
Is the only solution to rotate brushes frequently? I've only used it 4 times, first time it didn't smell.
