  • I am a little conscious that the 'sun cream' is labelled as such so that it can get around the sunscreen requirements and testing set out by the TGA.
I am sure it is a quality product, but the Aussie sun is harsh, and sunscreen is something I wont risk.

That's just terminology - Koreans often call sunscreen sun cream. They still have SPF and PA ratings printed on them. Sunscreen products from overseas are not regulated by the TGA regardless of what they are called. Note that even for Australian-made sunscreens, TGA doesn't test sunscreens themselves, they just check that sunscreen manufacturers have supplied all the paperwork to show that they have the certification from other (often overseas) sunscreen testing companies. South Korea has their own 'TGA', and all Korean sunscreens go through the a similar procedure, they often use the same overseas sunscreen testing companies as AU sunscreens do.

Having said that, most of the Korean sunscreens that are popular here (including this Round Lab one in the deal) are daily commuter sunscreens, not water-resistant. South Koreans have a very good habit of using sunscreens everyday so these are more common in their market (although they do make water-resistant outdoor sunscreens too). Do not try to go swimming using this RoundLab sunscreen.

    • Oh damn, though I'm on my second tube and haven't burnt yet.
