The equivalent model costs at its lowest a touch over $700 shipped in Australia, so is a 2 year Australian warranty worth $200? After buying the DC44 from the US I'm pretty confident on Dysons reliability and I think it's worth the gamble. To give you an idea, Dyson Italy provides a 5 year warranty on this, so they would be pretty confident also. If warranty is an issue with you, don't buy this. If the best price is what you want, these are the best prices for the year.
Here's a good review:

Key considerations:
- There is no Australian warranty
- It will run on Australian voltage with a European plug converter
- Doesn't include bank fees (use 28 degrees card)
Also available:
DC 37 Origin (=DC 39 Multi-floor) for $411.32 shipped
DC 37 Allergy (=DC 39 Allergy) for $449.23 shipped
*all prices cheapest for the year except Allergy which was 1EUR cheaper mifd year
Not sure if this is important to you, but seeing that its coming from overseas, could you tell me how your going to power it? Theres a possibility that this is 110V and here in Australia ours i think is about 220-240V. There are devices that you can get that work as a transformer to give you 110V but those things can be worth 100-150 alone.. I dont know about you but Id REALLY check to see what power this thing runs off, last thing you need is plugging this in and watching it smoke lol
