The equivalent model costs at its lowest a touch over $700 shipped in Australia, so is a 2 year Australian warranty worth $200? After buying the DC44 from the US I'm pretty confident on Dysons reliability and I think it's worth the gamble. To give you an idea, Dyson Italy provides a 5 year warranty on this, so they would be pretty confident also. If warranty is an issue with you, don't buy this. If the best price is what you want, these are the best prices for the year.

Here's a good review:
http://www.digitalversus.com/vacuum-cleaner/dyson-dc37-p1247…

Key considerations:
- There is no Australian warranty
- It will run on Australian voltage with a European plug converter
- Doesn't include bank fees (use 28 degrees card)

Also available:
DC 37 Origin (=DC 39 Multi-floor) for $411.32 shipped
DC 37 Allergy (=DC 39 Allergy) for $449.23 shipped
*all prices cheapest for the year except Allergy which was 1EUR cheaper mifd year

  • Not sure if this is important to you, but seeing that its coming from overseas, could you tell me how your going to power it? Theres a possibility that this is 110V and here in Australia ours i think is about 220-240V. There are devices that you can get that work as a transformer to give you 110V but those things can be worth 100-150 alone.. I dont know about you but Id REALLY check to see what power this thing runs off, last thing you need is plugging this in and watching it smoke lol

    • +1

      Italy is 220-240V.

    • Key considerations:
      - It will run on Australian voltage with a European plug converter

  • Great, just needed to check mate :)

  • It is coming to something like A$660, did you mean $507 including shipping or excluding shipping?

    • +1

      EUR 325.64 for the vacuum
      EUR 74.01 shipping
      Total EUR 399.65

XE converter puts it at $506.90AUD

      • I get the same result shipping to Perth:

        Riepilogo ordine

        Articoli: EUR 325,64
        Costi di spedizione: EUR 74,01

        Totale IVA esclusa: EUR 399,65
        IVA: EUR 0,00

        Totale ordine: EUR 399,65

      • Worked it out. My bad. Thanks

    • You forgot to deduct the 20% VAT, which we don't pay because we're not in the EU.

      • +1

With VAT the vacuum costs EUR394.02

If it's coming out at $660AUD after conversion then you may be on the Spanish site (which = that exact amount), have chosen the wrong shipping option or have the wrong vacuum.

        • Thanks for pointing it out.

  • I have been waiting ever since the sales from Amazon.es earlier in the year.
Is the Allergy model worth the extra $40? As far as I can tell the only difference between the Origin/Multi-Floor is the filter?

  • As another comparison, this guy sells for $624 and says he will pay for repairs or replace your unit during a 5 year period.

He has 3000+ feedback with 98.1% as positive.

    • Have a look at his negs though, looks a bit suspicious IMO. Not sure how reliable the sellers warranty is, but still, it's another option.

      • Yeah, I looked at the last 200 comments and searched for Dyson. One recent negative, but mostly positive. Looks like he just orders from Amazon UK himself and gives the promise that he will pay for repairs, making $100 profit on each unit.

Will he still be there in 5 years trading under the same name? Hard to judge, I will probably just go the OP's way if I end up buying one.

  • It seems the other models are on sale too - I've been considering the DC34, and shipped, it works out to be $183AU, which is a great price… But I'm still undecided if it's enough to sacrifice a 3 year (2 dyson + 1 credit card) australian warranty….

  • Good price.

I bought the same model from Amazon.de for a tad more and it works pretty sweet as I expected. :)

    BETTER PRICE IS AVAILABLE HERE:
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/88831

    DC39 Animal for $411 shipped
    DC39 Multi-floor for $369 shipped

    • These price from Harrods have sold out, so this thread seems the best available value.
