anyone got any feedback on this?

  • Looks neat! Gonna grab one and use it for my home cameras computer. Thanks OP

  • Guys, would this be good to take on the plane to use with a Nintendo Switch? Can I plug in my android phone to it and watch movies?

    • Also keen to know

      • Turns out not for a switch lite so all good.

    • It’s a monitor. What devices are compatible depends on the devices being plugged in, not the monitor. So it depends on if your particular “Android phone” supports being plugged into monitors.

    • The last photo shows that you can.

    • If you can power the dock with 40w

    • Doubt it - the appeal with a PC is that it is powered with the USB C. Switch doesn't output a video signal direct with the USB C, I believe you need a separate adapter, which might not be able to support the power. In which case you would need to power separately (plane USB may be strong enough?), end up with lots of cables.

you can but you need to bring switch dock and its power brick and hdmi cable full to mini

Yes, I use my switch USB C to USB C with a similar chinese 14’ portable monitor. The switch can power+output display in one cable to the monitor just fine. No switch dock needed. I usually use it for an hour or two at a time few times a week, and I think it would last few hours for months now.

The caution/concern with third party switch usb c docks / direct usb c outputs is they can cause brick the switch (probably through dodgy power setup).

You can also connect a powerbank to the monitor first, then your switch to the monitor, to make the Switch last longer.

Is it really ‎1.88 kg? About double the weight of most others at ~900g. Maybe it's a typo and is 1.88lbs?

    • Yea also skeptical about the 4mm thickness part. That's very sleek/slim for these. Usually haven't seen them to be any thinner than 0.6-0.8mm.

    • +1

      According to the picture it's 2.7lb (1.2kg) and 0.2" thick (5mm).

Edit: Review also says "Its only about 1/4 inch thick".

    • One of the reviews mentions it's 1.5lbs. I'm gonna give it a shot.

seems like a great deal. Just an amateur here but it is touch screen?

    • Doesn’t appear to be touchscreen

    • It will normally be mentioned in the description if it is, so no.

    • People have reported ghost touches on portable monitors with touchscreen. That would make it unusable in some cases

      • +1

ghost touches from touchscreens usually comes from interference from charging via one of the usb C ports. This happens on my Legion Go if I use a cheap third party charge cable and a random 100w power supply, doesnt happen when using a property rated certified cable like a thunderbolt or the original charger.

        • used to get it on my old touchscreen phone when charging via cigarette lighter

  • okay… already working with 2 monitors plus laptop screen at home but another screen, why not

  • +2

Based on reviews- seems like it has poor colours. Manufacture claims only 80% sRGB while most others are 99% these days. Can't see anything about its brightness.

    • +1

would it be okay just for office works pdf excel word, indoor with good light

  • Anyone know how I can connect a 2nd portable monitor to laptop?
I'm already connected 1 via type c to type c. Have run out of ports. HDMI cable don't seem to work on 2nd monitor.

    • Buy a dock?

    • there are some usb-c hubs that allow you to connect 2 screens but not sure about quality or refresh rate

    • Huh weird i thought the hdmi will work

  • +2

Can you use just USB C for both video and power? I have one that has to be connected using HDMI.

Coupon expired as I was going to buy it :(

  • Video here:-
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mfgip2LSjQ

thickness varies - the bezel is bulkier near the top
    seems acceptable for gaming

Seems the $30 coupon has expired. Right as I was about to order!

  • What is the usage for this

    • +1

The same as any other monitor. Useful working on the go.

  • What do people use these for

  • When does people use this?

  • hmm reviews kind of confusing some 5 stars some 1 stars

    • It's pretty much what you'd expect for the < $100 price, mediocre colour reproduction (80% sRGB) so it's only good for MS Office/spreadsheets. You need to pay more if you want good image quality.

      • Im more worry about other flaws.. like: not keeping settings after turn off - or this is normal because monitor doesnt have any built in battery cmos thing inside ?
