    • I also experienced a long process to port over with a chat agent. They didn't understand I had a pre-paid sim starter kit and wanted to port my number over to it. They also almost set me up with a post paid account. In the end we got there, but holy shit i'd rather go into an Optus store next time and speak to someone with comprehension skills

  • Can you port from Coles Mobile? As they both uses Optus network? Also I dont use the e-sim option. Can I just use the physical sim for this?

Does the cash back also work if you get an esim?

  • Cashback tracked within 5 minutes

So $11.25 per month after cashback?

And is at lowest point after 3 months deal, 200gb data per month?

  • optus prepaid doesn't provide call waiting feature, right?

  • Can you port into this from Amaysim?

    • Yes.

  • Haven't received an email from cashrewards yet, hopeful it gets tracked

    • I got the $100 CB tracked with the earlier deal (i used the CR chrome extension though)

  • Can I get cashback for 2 separate orders? I want to buy 2 for me and my wife as well

    • Any luck with this ? I got the same question.

    • The conditions say: Cashback applies to new sign-ups only and is limited to one per order, regardless of the number of plans.

I purchased 3 x SIMs in 3 x orders, and all tracked. 3 new signups for Optus porting numbers from Kogan, all in my name (for the 3 kids).

Will they pay out? I hope so.

  • C'mon CR reps, only takes one sentence- esims eligible or not?

    • Currently there's no active CR rep on OzBargain.

  • Thanks OP. Bought one, hopefully it gets tracked.

  • After CR gets tracked can I go request a eSIM and I would still get the Cashback?

Actually lost my physical sim on a trip and now without one so thinking to get an eSIM which I am so used to now.

FYI: When porting in to Optus, if you get to step 3 and it tells you this:

The porting process for this number requires manual input. Please start a chat with us so we can sort this out.

Start the process again but this time turn auto recharge on and it should then let you do it online. It worked for me today. Magically turning auto recharge on fixes the 'issue' and it no longer requires manual input.

It seems to be a ploy to get you to contact them so they can try and sell you a month to month phone plan on the live chat. Which makes sense that turning on auto recharge avoids this. If that doesn't work (it should), then call them to port in instead, it appears they aren't told to try and upsell on a plan so it will be a lot less frustrating and quicker.

Once you have ported in, you can easily turn off auto recharge in the app.

  • Just wanted to say thanks for sharing this deal. I ordered 4/1 and should get my cash rewards by 4/5.

I held off activating until 30/01 and I ported from catch connect within 3 mins. Everything has been super smooth so far, and cash rewards confirmed tracking within a day.

I will try remember to confirm once I've claimed my cash rewards and withdrawn it. I saw some people were concerned that there were possible tracking issues, so figured I'd give an update on my experience.

Very happy so far, especially since catch connect was wanting $150 for $120gb or something silly.
